In the 1960s my Mum ran a Bed and Breakfast business from our home in Stratford-upon-Avon. We had many actors and musicians staying with us, such as Mandy Miller, Sian Phillips (Peter on Toole's wife) and many of the ballet dancers who performed at the Royal Shakespeare theatre during the winter months. One of the nicest actresses was Dandy Nicols who became famous as the wife in Till Death us do part. She had a very cultured voice ! I was quite star struck with it all.
I seem to remember Mandy Miller eventually retired from acting, got married to a farmer and moved to Scotland.
And yes it was a great film.
