Well what do you think did he or didn't he ?

NotTooOld Tue 03-Oct-17 19:44:21

The policewoman is pregnant, isn't she? Presumably she has lost the baby now due to being raped. Have I got that right?

travelsafar Wed 04-Oct-17 07:46:47

I think when she realises what has happend she will nab him, the policewoman is a lesbian so why would she consent to sex with a man!!!!!

NotTooOld Wed 04-Oct-17 13:40:52

Well, I must have missed that bit about her being a lesbian. She was pregnant, though, wasn't she? I'm confused.

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 14:01:24

She had a Skype call with her soldier girlfriend

Atqui Wed 04-Oct-17 18:50:26

But how will she know it was him ...he had gloves, and a key, and was out of it when he came in.

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 18:52:59

She'll see the bottle and top in the dishwasher and know it was him - proving it of course will be a different matter as I suppose he used a condom.

durhamjen Wed 04-Oct-17 18:53:42

Presumably as she is bleeding she will go to have an internal, and they will find evidence?

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 18:57:10

Evidence that she's had recent sex but not that it was him or it was rape?

durhamjen Wed 04-Oct-17 19:11:24

If she had had recent sex and didn't know that she had had it, it would be rape, wouldn't it?
His DNA? They must have that at the police department.

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 19:29:24

Ah but we know women lie about bring raped dont we? His version would be that she was gagging for it and has now changed her mind. Where would he have left his DNA?

NotTooOld Wed 04-Oct-17 21:50:47

marieliza - thank you. I remember the Skype call now. Duh - I must be getting old. I've just watched Coronation Street and found I had forgotten the body under Gail's former bedroom had been found.

durhamjen Wed 04-Oct-17 22:04:31

No idea, maryeliza. We didn't see everything he did, did we?
Don't forget, she's a cop.

durhamjen Wed 04-Oct-17 22:06:24

Maryeliza, her boss knew she wasn't gagging for it.
The last thing she will remember is that she was drinking her vegetable smoothie. He washed the pot out. She didn't. She'll know that.

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 22:39:02

Yes dj I know she knows the truth, I'm trying to say what he would say as a rapist

maryeliza54 Wed 04-Oct-17 22:39:58

Well the truth in as much as she will know it was him and that she was raped

durhamjen Wed 04-Oct-17 22:56:46

Probably both wrong. I think I'll just wait until next week.

travelsafar Thu 05-Oct-17 07:37:16

lets hope its not the consultant's son doing all this!!!!!

BlueBelle Thu 05-Oct-17 07:42:55

Surely there’s going to be a twist isn’t there ?

grannyticktock Sat 07-Oct-17 16:07:04

I don't think there will be another twist. More likely the tension will come from the viewers knowing what he's done and wondering whether he'll be caught, and how.

Elrel Tue 10-Oct-17 00:05:24

I found this evening's episode quite exhausting, very tense. Who knew he had a mother?! Was that a pistol in the shed?

seacliff Tue 10-Oct-17 06:16:43

I could hardly watch tonight, just knew he'd get away. The policewoman was pretty stupid going there alone, I know her boss was with his daughter, but even so. Is next week the last ..., hope so, not due what's going to happen.

merlotgran Tue 10-Oct-17 09:04:23

I was watching from behind a cushion when she was hiding in the boatyard. shock

Looking forward to the finale next week.

Kateykrunch Tue 10-Oct-17 09:56:26

Why didnt they just keep him tied up in the boat house until the drug wore off. For sure, if I had had him tied up I would definitely have made sure he was tied up very very securely. I also wonder if she would have been able to drag a dead weight man so far from car to boat shed. She should have put him on a canoe and set him off into the sea. When she was running away and hiding from him, she was the one who knew where his car was, why didnt she run to the car and surely you would have kept the keys on you just in case, looking forward to next weeks finale!

Teetime Tue 10-Oct-17 10:27:29

How did a 7st (roughly well tiny anyway) lug a heavily drugged 6ft probably 12 stone (at least) man all that way- no possible. I know its only fiction but there has to be some credibility.

Elrel Tue 10-Oct-17 10:40:54

Teetime - there has been a bit too much suspension of disbelief in this, not to mention drip feeding!
A consultant could afford to use Access for storage rather than a wooden shed in his mother's garden with a plain glass window and easily prised off padlock.
