Well what do you think did he or didn't he ?

maryeliza54 Mon 25-Sept-17 22:33:18

Doesn't anyone know the meaning of professional boundaries? And Andrew is really pushing his luck isn't he?

pensionpat Mon 25-Sept-17 23:10:17

I am enjoying this, but it is harder each week to suspend belief. Or is it disbelief? So many unlikely actions, by many of the characters.

grannyticktock Tue 26-Sept-17 17:04:17

I think the only way to enjoy this one is to see it as set in a parallel universe, in which teachers, doctors, nurses and police officers all do outrageous things that, in our world, would get them sacked. Apart from that, it's pretty good!

Shirleyw Tue 26-Sept-17 19:49:02

Lol grannyticktock....liar is getting dark now, creepy....the surgeon will be doing something horrible next week I'm sure before the last episode lol

lemongrove Tue 26-Sept-17 19:52:59

Although it looked like Andrew put something in her wine,
I think he actually put something in his own glass!?Maybe something for his performance, ahem.

maryeliza54 Tue 26-Sept-17 19:54:18

And I bet we have one of those scenes where she goes home saying she'll be fine, he's lying in wait and attacks her, she fights back and he falls off the balcony, she feels relieved it's all over then his bloodied face appears in the mirror as she's taking deep breaths and he's just about to finish her off when Tom gallops to the rescue and Andrew fall s off the balcony agsin this time for good. The End ?

durhamjen Tue 26-Sept-17 19:57:29

No need to watch the rest, then, maryeliza.

maryeliza54 Tue 26-Sept-17 20:02:35

Oh I wouldn't say that....

durhamjen Tue 26-Sept-17 20:04:22

Would be scary if you were right, wouldn't it?

callgirl1 Tue 26-Sept-17 22:10:08

Lemongrove, I was only saying to my daughter last night that I was sure she took the other glass, not the "doctored" one.

grannyticktock Tue 26-Sept-17 22:15:19

Yes I think she took the wrong glass but then he swapped them again. She said something in an earlier episode about him switching the glasses around, and I didn't quite get it. I do now.

NotTooOld Tue 26-Sept-17 22:55:28

I don't, granny. Get it, I mean. I thought she just took the 'wrong' glass off him. He looked bit perturbed I thought but drank it himself.

maryeliza54 Tue 26-Sept-17 22:57:50

Who was it on this thread that harbours suspicions of the taxi driver?

grannyticktock Wed 27-Sept-17 10:16:51

No, NotTooOld, he didn't drink it. We saw her take a sip (of the normal glass) and he followed her into the room, raising his glass near his lips but not actually drinking. I think that after that, she noticed him lifting her glass (from a table or something) instead of hers, but politely pretended not to notice, and took his glass instead.

Luckylegs9 Wed 27-Sept-17 22:24:01

I am afraid I didn't like any of the characters.what has happened to drama?

grannyticktock Thu 28-Sept-17 17:09:59

I don't think liking the characters is the point here. Rather the opposite, in fact: the doctor seemed charming and funny at first but we now know he's a wrong 'un; the girl is not an immediately appealing character, but that doesn't mean she's in any way at fault. I've found it quite fascinating so far, and I'm curious to see whether they can hold our interest now that we know who's been lying, and he seems to have got away with it.

Elrel Fri 29-Sept-17 00:52:30

I'm beginning to think that the son may have done something in the past, or knows something about his father.

Sparklefizz Fri 29-Sept-17 08:38:42

Yes, Elrel*, we already know he has got the schoolgirl pregnant and I wonder if that fact will play a bigger part in the story .....

grannyticktock Fri 29-Sept-17 09:44:46

Well, in real life, both Andrew and wossername could be in serious professional trouble for that incident: she abandoned her teaching duties in order to whisk the girl away to hospital, then conspired with Andrew to lie to the girl's father, while Andrew pretended to be the duty doctor and gave the father false information.
I can't see the relevance of this to the main story, except possibly that it gave Andrew another opportunity to present himself as a the decent guy, and undermine her certainty that he is a rapist.

NotTooOld Fri 29-Sept-17 10:01:12

Thanks, granny, I see what you mean now. The doc has got to be a wrong'un, I reckon. He's just too nice.

travelsafar Tue 03-Oct-17 06:26:42

Oh my God, when the doctor entered the policewoman's home after spiking her bottle of juice, i had to turn over i just couldn't watch what was goning to happen. He is so evil and scary as he appears so normal apart from when he is terrorising women!!!!!!

kittylester Tue 03-Oct-17 06:39:00

I think the consultant is a really good actor. Sorry not up to remembering his name at this time of the morning.

Shirleyw Tue 03-Oct-17 07:49:18

It's a bit too far fetched now...shall still watch it ? Yes travelsofar , it was eerie at that point... And when she woke up and went to the loo.....oh dear, .....two more episodes isn't it? He will only get worse next week then ....

BlueBelle Tue 03-Oct-17 08:17:41

But she’s playing right into his hands going and tackling him at night and alone ...silly mare

kittylester Tue 03-Oct-17 08:20:17

I'm hoping it's only one more episode - don't think I can take any more!
