Is it possible that I am alone in being left cold by all forms of sport?
I have been forced to subscribe to Netflix to escape from,
what feels, to me,
like wall to wall coverage of various sweaty folk, knocking themselves out
whilst attempting to prevent someone else from beating them at some pointless endeavour.
I wonder if I could get 50% reduction on my license fee, because there is so little left for me to watch on the main stations?

Oh, I so agree with you. Every time I walk into my living room, my DH is watching sport and often listening to the football on the radio at the same time.
I decided to go into the conservatory yesterday and watch TV there. However, I was sure I could hear voices coming from the garden, I thought we had burglars. No, there was some football match coming from the sound system. DH, "Thought he had swiched it off!" Assaulted on all sides by sport.
To top it all, the sun was shining on the TV and I couldn't see a thing.

You are not alone, I feel just the same.

Takes all sorts as they say, I just go off and do something more interesting to me.

Oh and don't get me started on cars going round in circles sounding like giant angry bees.

I love watching tennis and athletics bit it ends there.

I agree, motor racing is beyond me- how many runs around the track have they to go, how do they know how many tracks they have been around and so on. Like cricket it is like watching paint dry and that sport (watching paint dry) is quieter.

You are not alone. I dislike watching sport at all on TV. I play golf and now croquet and soon walking netball in a vain attempt to keep my arthritis at bay- would much rather lounge about watching Midsummer Murders with coffee and cake.
