haha thanks tanith..oh well am off to Australia on Monday so not a problem?..watch it again in 7weeks ?

tanith Sat 05-Aug-17 19:29:29

No 'fair view' it was a one off but now Casualty is on Summer break so it's not on tonight or the next two weeks to make way for the athletics.

farview Sat 05-Aug-17 19:21:14

Oh no!! Another two episodes then of that frustrating filming???

ninathenana Fri 04-Aug-17 17:21:26

Hanson leaves me cold in the looks department but has a certain charm.

Sam Strachen is another story, looks but no personality.

Karanlouise Fri 04-Aug-17 16:35:19

There is definitely something about Hanson!! Didn't particularly like the way it was filmed last week but didn't realise it wasn't on for 3 weeks. Love watching it with a glass or two of cold white wine, will have to find something else now.

goldengirl Fri 04-Aug-17 11:46:02

Yes, there's certainly something about Mr Hanson that I find VERY attractive wink

Miep1 Fri 04-Aug-17 11:04:45

We love Hanson here too; thanks one of the main reasons we watch! Sad really

BlueBelle Fri 04-Aug-17 07:54:57

What is it about Hanson? Not my type at all but I find him weirdly fascinating is it his cool superiority or his powerful but quiet control, his unexpected sense of humour or his kindness under the cool exterior ?

Ana Sun 30-Jul-17 10:57:06

It was certainly a much more realistic portrayal of day to day life in a busy hospital, rather than the usual half-empty waiting room and staff with enough time to conduct affairs and have meaningful conversations all over the pace!

goldengirl Sun 30-Jul-17 10:49:31

Sorry folks but I thought it was interesting and different; just a taster of what life in A&E is really like. It must have been fun and challenging for the camera operators to do - I'm afraid I was watching the shots rather than the story lines; the 2 'observers' I thought very irritating.

farview Sun 30-Jul-17 10:20:30

haha Hansen is awesome ?

Christinefrance Sun 30-Jul-17 08:45:34

Mainly Holby because of the dishy Hansen ! !

Christinefrance Sun 30-Jul-17 08:44:01

Don't know what all the hype was about, I agree it was not a good episode. Duffy was dreadful. I agree BlueBelle Holby and Casualty are unrealistic a lot of the time but I continue to watch.

BlueBelle Sun 30-Jul-17 07:53:56

I didn't see it I stoped a few weeks ago when Mo and whatsisface took their sick baby Io visit a patient in her ward and then were watching and listening to a wrist watch video of the baby whilst Mo was apparently doing a major op
I have found both holly and casualty becoming so unreal lately and as my granddaughter said how many disasters can one hospital have They talk private subjects over patients, they mess around in wards, they become over familiar with their patients and indeed I think Duffy is an awful actress
I used to really look forward to tuesdays and Saturday night viewing but not any more

kittylester Sun 30-Jul-17 07:26:26

On top of all the above, I thought the sound was worse than usual.

ninathenana Sun 30-Jul-17 06:12:44

Nellie the fire wasn't in the hospital. The chaos in the hospital was no more than seen in an average episode.

Coolgran65 Sun 30-Jul-17 04:45:18

I really ejoy my Holby City and my Casualty but how disappointing was tonight/s episode.
I can understand that with continuous shot filming there is pressure to do the entire episode in 'one go' but that was like being on a roller coaster - for the viewer I mean.

If each cast member had to be perfectly in place so they were ready to intercept the continuous shot filming with their lines/contribution it's bound to affect the end result. And it really showed.
The script, acting et al were sub par.... presumably because so much concentration was required to be in camera when needed. It felt like a relay race with the camera (baton) being figuratively passed from character to character.

Nelliemoser Sun 30-Jul-17 00:39:34

Well it was the very unconvincing fire burning very neatly up several doorways that made me turn off.
How many times has Holby hospital been seriously damaged now?
It is the regularity of these major chaotic accidents right inside the hospital which really put me off watching.
I just wish they would try to be a little more realistic in their story lines.

ninathenana Sun 30-Jul-17 00:21:42

I agree it just didn't seem 'right' also agree Duffy was even more wooden than usual.

MawBroon Sat 29-Jul-17 22:13:01

I gave up too. Poor acting, uninspired moves (if that is what you would call it) everybody looked decidedly uncomfortable.

Alima Sat 29-Jul-17 22:11:20

Felt really queasy during that, hope it is a one off. After 30 years I hope I can wean myself off it. Maybe it's a penance?

tanith Sat 29-Jul-17 22:06:40

I thought it was total rubbish and I've watched Casuaty for years, what on earth those two silly girls were there for I have no clue and Duffy's acting seemed very shaky.
I hope when it comes back in 3weeks normal service can resume.

Charleygirl Sat 29-Jul-17 22:03:31

I did not enjoy any of it tonight.

farview Sat 29-Jul-17 21:48:16

..Saturday night...switch off/relax/watch Casualty.....WHY do they mess about with the filming?? Continuous shot filming..SO annoying!!....aaagh...
