Just been to see this movie. Churchill was played by Brian Cox and I didn't recognize him at all because I still think of him as a young person. The film covers the few days leading up to DDay which Churchill feared would be a disaster, as it brought back memories of Gallipoli in 1915.
It was well acted, slightly repetitious, but a good portrayal of a very difficult event in our history. It also made me realize the massive burden of responsibility which those in power have to bear, and how strong they have to be when so much rests on the decisions they have to take. My own problems are insignificant in comparison. It is very very tough at the top. Recommended.
