Did anyone else watch this last night.
I am intrigued to see where it goes.

Some of the scenes were quite disturbing I thought.

I often wonder about the people who write these sort of stories and how their brains work to come up with such ideas.

Wow! What a powerful series ending. Riveting. And so beautifully filmed. It's frustrating that it's not the end yet when you're expecting a resolution to the story.
I read it many years ago and found it unsettling. Even more unsettling now when the world seems such a scary place and this scenario seems even more relevant.
Absolutely brilliant.

It was very dark at times, but I enjoyed it. I too didn't realise there would be a second series. So glad her friend escaped. I really like Elizabeth Moss, she was great in the top of the lake/China girl too.

So did the book end like that too? Is there a second book, or have they deliberately left the story unresolved and not completed the screenplay, in order to squeeze Part Two out of it? I thought it was an excellent production, but it left me a bit puzzled, wondering how it relates to the book.

There's definitely more in the book, grannyticktock. I wanted to look up the bit where we've finished off in this series but I've lent it to my granddaughter who is completely hooked.

I read it about 15 years ago so there's a lot I don't remember.

Looking forward to the next series because I think the acting has been brilliant.

I read the book about thirty years ago and couldn't understand why the women let this happen to them. But this series makes that clearer. Can't remember what happens next - I'm tempted to buy a Kindle version to read now.
Beautifully filmed. Looking forward to the next series.

I read the book years ago as well and although I loved it I thought it was a bit far-fetched. Now it seems so much more possible. Read her last trilogy about Oryx and Crake and thought the same, now I'm beginning to wonder..
