The SIO arriving at the flat of the forensic chap was a shock but I found it believable, given there was obviously some kind of history between them and she wanted to avoid anyone knowing she'd done this. That's why she left her phone at home imo. I didn't see the husband outside the flat, I assumed he'd gone to the cop shop, as he thought she'd gone to work.
Stunning first episode, ranking up the tension from the start.

This is one of those wish we had an edit button moment. I accept that going to the forensic chap's flat was not a sensible thing to do but people spinning a web of deceit don't always act sensibly do they.

iam it appeared as though a car, resembling the husband's, turned up at the flat. Then there was nothing! I assumed that it was the husband bringing the phone to Thandie.

Hastings seems to suspect Hilton.

I don't think I could have been concentrating properly. I seem to have missed some of the things mentioned.

I must have missed things because I looked away when he got the saw out.

So did I, then peeped through my fingers and I'm sure she opened her eyes. Aargh

I bet she didn't like what she saw!

I will have to watch preview recap carefully tonight as I missed aforementioned details too. Looking forward to it.

The Assistant Chief Constable is a bit of a twit and I feel so sorry for Farmer who is suffering in prison.

How did she get the forensic chap's DNA on the victim? Did I miss that bit. I didn't see what she did with the samples in the good box in her bag and what did she do with his laptop and phone?

I nearly missed the beginning as I was going around locking doors and switching a light on so I dare go into the hall!

Clever. We don't know what she did with the laptop and phone, just that they weren't in the car boot any more.

She took swabs from the blood stained (with his blood) clothes in the bag in the boot and then switched the swab that had her blood on it when that forensics officer was looking for he laptop and phone.

I don't know where the bag she had in the boot with his things in went .

But somehow she got Tim's DNA on this latest body - I didn't see how she did that. I thought the Laptop and phone had just gone from the boot but wondered if I had nodded off a mo!

Homeland is quite tame by comparison.

Is the car boot one of those two level ones? You lift up the base and there is another level? I also feel sorry for Farmer. He needs protection rather than ridicule. The Assistant Chief Constable is 'up to something' according to Mr C. The DNA stuff was confusing, haven't a clue where this is going next but we are both enjoying it hugely.

The history between Kate and Buckles - does it hark back to series 1 that I haven't seen yet (dvd ordered and on its way )? Or is it something I've forgotten from series 2 or 3?

Poor Farmer. I can't bear to watch his scenes - they need to get him out of there pronto!

The boot looked as though it had been well scrubbed, but we all know they'll be able to get DNA from it.
