Anyone looking forward to this? I've just finished the book-it was thoroughly gripping.

Can't wait! Sunday night at 9pm.

^ I presume he has that room/ house as his place to take his conquests ^ BB of course, we are led to believe it is a 'safe house' because that is what Yvonne thinks, but of course it could just belong to a friend/relative who is away.
How come the mysterious lover was admitted into the house with seemingly no questions? I wondered that too, and about the dog.

There was a tv series called Spooks mumofmadboys
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mf4b

And he looks quite different in this picture - rather gorgeous in RL!

wills I don't think an estate agent would have access to the Chapel at the Palace of Westminster! Although a facilities manager would - and that doesn't sound as sexy as a spook grin

A telling moment was when they were snuggling 'post-coital' and she suggested that he might have words with the rapist or would know someone who would sort him out. So she's the instigator!

I'm trying to work out who's dead .... Lego-haired lover or bastard colleague.

gettingonabit Mon 30-Jan-17 15:49:55

Ooh..the end bit was good.

And X is rather hot IRL, isn't he?blush

Greyduster Mon 30-Jan-17 16:34:53

Is somebody dead? I must have missed that bit. TBH I wasn't taking a lot of notice last night.

Jalima Mon 30-Jan-17 16:40:45

Not yet and we don't know if anyone dies - we just know she ends up in court in handcuffs.

Perhaps she murders her lovely but boring husband.

Greyduster Mon 30-Jan-17 17:20:53

The DT tv critic described her husband as "as alluring as a used plaster in a puddle". I'm afraid I have to agree!

gettingonabit Mon 30-Jan-17 20:00:24

Are spoilers allowed here?

I think Yvonne's husband is seriously hot. He's got great bone structure. His hairdo is a bit suspect in this, though.

He's in Shetland, and was sleazy Mike Dryden in Line of Duty. And Casualty, ages back.

Sorry if I'm repeating myselfblush.

Jalima Mon 30-Jan-17 20:09:08

I like the husband too, although Ben Chaplin looks a lot nicer in the photo I posted above.

nicer - you kwim grin

Gemmag Tue 31-Jan-17 08:30:27

What a treat for Sunday nights. A panting, gasping knicker-twist of a thriller centered on middle-aged lust and deceit. A few moaners on here but then you always get a few!.
I'm sure they could easily find something else to watch if they really wanted to but I bet you anything they'll watch till the end. I for one am loving it?.

Alima Tue 31-Jan-17 08:53:10

Gemma's, I'm with you on this. Read the book but finding this so much better. (Probably explains why I can't remember how it ended!). The chap looks very different in the photo above, so that's why they cast him!

Alima Tue 31-Jan-17 08:54:58

For anyone who is enjoying it, the next part is on Sunday as usual but the last part is on the next day, the Monday.

LadyGracie Tue 31-Jan-17 12:22:00

I'm thoroughly enjoying it, bit of a weird plot, probably that's why I like it. I think X is rather tasty, Husband is a bit of a drip, she doesn't kill her husband, he was sat up in the gallery of the court with Rosa in the end scene. George makes my skin crawl, good choice of actors I think.

LadyGracie Tue 31-Jan-17 12:41:15

Her husband can't have made much impact on me I can't think of his characters name for the life of me!

Jalima Tue 31-Jan-17 12:55:50

I think he must be a good actor (Ben Chaplin I mean) because, looking at my photo above, he looks very dishy. Although goodness knows what he's wearing, they look like shiny lapels on that jacket.

LadyGracie Tue 31-Jan-17 13:09:32

I agree [Jalima] very dishy, but I still wouldn't let him put his foot in my bucket!

Gemmag Tue 31-Jan-17 13:30:19

Jalima. Leather jacket.

Jalima Tue 31-Jan-17 13:33:18

LadieGracie grin

Gemmag of course
Strange combination though, leather jacket, shirt, tie and jumper

LadyGracie Tue 31-Jan-17 13:53:10

Sorry Jalima I bracketed you [] instead of ** confused

BlueBelle Tue 31-Jan-17 15:19:17

Why are you all calling him X what am I missing he does look nice in that picture I d forgive him s honey lapels he doesn't look greasy like in the drama

Riverwalk Tue 31-Jan-17 15:35:43

BlueBelle well what else can we call him - do we know his name?

I've rather forgotten he slightly resembled George Osborne!

gettingonabit Tue 31-Jan-17 16:00:26

blue we don't get to know X's name. Even Yvonne doesn't know it.

Ben Chaplin can put his foot in my bucket any daygrin even if he does resemble George Osborne a tiny bit.

BlueBelle Tue 31-Jan-17 18:07:01

Oh I read a review before I watched and I thought it called him Mark something or other

BlueBelle Tue 31-Jan-17 18:11:27

Just checked and it says Ben Chaplin playing Mark Costly

dogsmother Tue 31-Jan-17 18:22:18

She always calls him ' X' ?

BlueBelle Tue 31-Jan-17 18:29:18

Really Dogsmother I must be so unobservant I d never noticed
