It's back at the weekend and, after checking out the line up, I am more than happy with this years celebs. Larry Lamb is going in, along with little Adam out of Emmerdale. Lisa Snowdon and Ola Jordan along with a footballer, comedian, gold medal winner, dancer from Diversity, Scarlett off Gogglebox. Reserves it says are Martin Roberts off Homes under the Hammer and Danny Baker. The only fly in the ointment for me is Carol Vorderman. I do like her, but she does tend to try to hog a show when she is on, like 8 out of 10 cats, she is screaming all over the show. Plus she will be bragging about being a pilot. But, it looks interesting, and something to bring us up to the Festive season. Is anyone else going to be tuning in?

I find Martin amusing too

Ana Sat 26-Nov-16 11:52:44

I read that they don't actually get paid for being on Gogglebox (and anyway, Scarlett's parents are on too) so how's she managed to pay their mortgage off? What else does she do? confused

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 12:16:19

No idea what she does for a living Ana, she said she paid the mortgage off ,i never watch her programme so had never heard of her

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 12:23:31

According to the radio times she has written a book, appeared in an earlier reality show , has a fitness DVD and is on a radio programme ,also has thousands eho follow her on twitter

I wish it had been Martin voted off, I find him a bit arrogant. I live Gogglebox, there are some great characters on it. Think I'd like Larry or Joel to win!

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 14:32:23

I would like to see more of the women , not including Scarlett

LadyGracie Sat 26-Nov-16 16:28:20

Just read in DM that families get paid £1500 per month for watching 2x6 hour sessions of TV a week. The £1500 is shared by all participants in each house.

Jane10 Sat 26-Nov-16 16:32:49

Nice work if you can get it!

Ana Sat 26-Nov-16 16:38:55

Wow! Can't remember where I read they don't get paid but can have whatever takeaways etc. they want. Obviously misinformation!

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 16:48:41

Good grief , £1500 per month, unusual I know but I am speechless

LadyGracie Sat 26-Nov-16 16:50:32

Yes they get takeaways too! Be a nice job over winter months, a few extra bob wouldn't go amiss!

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 16:56:05

Wonder what they have to watch, for that sum I would even watch eastenders , yes I know, I am cheap, who wouldn't be for £1500 a month

LadyGracie Sat 26-Nov-16 16:59:03

No, no EastEnders, recently they've watched Poldark, Planet Earth, The Zoo, all quite good programmes

Ana Sat 26-Nov-16 16:59:31

No, it's never any of the soaps.

LadyGracie Sat 26-Nov-16 17:07:14

She's been OK so far to be fair, apart from the laugh!

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 17:53:38

No way, I would not watch Poldark , not that cheap

Jalima Sat 26-Nov-16 18:43:18

I would even watch IACGMOOH for £1,500!

rafichagran Sat 26-Nov-16 21:07:39

I am glad Martin was saved, he has livened it up a bit. I don't buy into Scarlett either, and do not want her to win.

Anniebach Sat 26-Nov-16 23:23:44

I admit it's tempting Jalima

I have really gome off Larry now, referring to Martin as a middle class snob was just nasty. Martin has been to Uni and made a career for himself in the media. Larry has also been succesful but came across as an inverted snob.

Jane10 Sun 27-Nov-16 20:02:43

Hey rafichagran that was manipulative editing! Larry's a great bloke. Martins a pain in the neck but his episodes make good viewing. The producers want/need to keep him in. Remember what a kind gent he was in the opening section. He really saved Scarlett and has helped all of them all the time. Its no wonder how irritated he got with Martin.

DanniRae Sun 27-Nov-16 20:09:27

I think Larry has got very irritable lately. I disliked the way he had a go at Martin because he eagerly suggested using straws to choose who did a challenge. For goodness sake talk about over reacting - I thought Martin took it very well. I would have told him to go forth and multiply!! angry

rafichagran Sun 27-Nov-16 20:42:22

-Jane 10- I don't think it was manipultive editing, he said it or should I say whispered it to Wayne. Martin tried to make peace with him and his reaction was just nasty. I like Martin and dislike Larry, I have met too many people like him he really is not a great bloke.

Jane10 Sun 27-Nov-16 20:50:30

I disagree rafichagran. It was highly selective. I bet all of the others have had plenty to say about Martin as he's so annoying. TV gold though so the producers will be thrilled.

rafichagran Sun 27-Nov-16 21:08:10

Jane Martin, annoying yes, but he is harmless, Larry is not though, he really is manipulative. I cannot stand what he said about Martin being a lower middle class snob, which was the polite version. I have very working class roots, but would never describe someone how Larry described Martin. Still as you said tv gold.
