It's back at the weekend and, after checking out the line up, I am more than happy with this years celebs. Larry Lamb is going in, along with little Adam out of Emmerdale. Lisa Snowdon and Ola Jordan along with a footballer, comedian, gold medal winner, dancer from Diversity, Scarlett off Gogglebox. Reserves it says are Martin Roberts off Homes under the Hammer and Danny Baker. The only fly in the ointment for me is Carol Vorderman. I do like her, but she does tend to try to hog a show when she is on, like 8 out of 10 cats, she is screaming all over the show. Plus she will be bragging about being a pilot. But, it looks interesting, and something to bring us up to the Festive season. Is anyone else going to be tuning in?

well, she's good at maths

Anniebach Fri 11-Nov-16 13:52:33

I failed O'level maths , I don't like her

Anya Fri 11-Nov-16 14:27:55

This is blatant mathism or ought it to be mathophobi? confused

Anya Fri 11-Nov-16 14:28:59

That wasn't a spelling mistake it's the plural of phobia wink blush

BlueBelle Fri 11-Nov-16 14:35:26

I did like it when Jennie Bond did the rat challenge she was a cool as a cucumber I thought Paul Burrel was awful and that awful LADY last year just overtook it all

Anniebach Fri 11-Nov-16 15:04:13

Anya, but honest

Jalima Fri 11-Nov-16 15:06:08

I don't mind maths but I do have algebraphobia.

Ana Fri 11-Nov-16 15:11:03

Anyone remember Nigel Havers having a hissy fit and walking out? I've never felt the same about him since...

Christinefrance Fri 11-Nov-16 18:12:02

Hate it, along with Big Brother, Towie, and anything of a similar ilk. My secret vices are soaps, Emmerdale, Corrie and Enders.
I do find it annoying when someone says ' I only watch documentaries ' then they name several soap characters, so snobby.

grannylyn65 Fri 11-Nov-16 18:17:10

No !!!

Ana Fri 11-Nov-16 18:38:39

No!!! what? confused

Mary59nana Sat 12-Nov-16 07:20:16

Can't wait for it to start tmrw night
Scarlett comes across as a lovely funny young lady hope she does well
Carol V what can I say but oh that constant irritateting laugh, she is so self obsessed and can't wait to see how she will cope with the younger attractive women who will take the attention away from her

Mary59nana Sat 12-Nov-16 07:26:43

Oops----Irritating

sunseeker Sat 12-Nov-16 07:51:43

No I won't be watching. I don't like any of the so called "reality" programmes, they are all so phony!! However, I know lots of people enjoy watching so I will simply watch something else. I have to say I can't understand how a "celeb" would be so desperate they would allow themselves to be put through the things I hear about!confused

BlueBelle Mon 14-Nov-16 21:53:45

Apart from Larry Lamb, Carol V, Scarlett and Jordan I don't know anyone in it
If Carol V s cheeks get any more plumped out she ll burst LOL
I like Larry Scarlett and Jordan i ll have to hold judgement till I see a bit more of the others Carol V has always irritated me

Ana Mon 14-Nov-16 22:08:58

I was thinking the same about Carol Vorderman's cheeks, BlueBell! And much as I like Scarlett, I think that hair colour's just too dark for her.

I've never liked Larry Lamb in anything he's been in on tv but he's coming across as a really good bloke! Pity he's the only OAP on the show this year.

Anniebach Mon 14-Nov-16 22:15:37

I like Ola, Carol V? No, and I don't know who the men are

rafichagran Mon 14-Nov-16 22:18:01

Looking forward to watching it. I like Larry Lamb as well. Do not have the dislike of Carol Vorderman that others have though.

POGS Mon 14-Nov-16 22:38:13

I thought they looked like a decent bunch out for a laugh, how long they will be laughing for is another matter.

Blimey I could not have done that challenge walking out on a ledge into open space from 1000's of feet up, with nor without a harness.

I really like Scarlet, she makes me smile on Gogglebox too.

merlotgran Mon 14-Nov-16 22:43:16

Will they be watching her on Gogglebox, I wonder?

POGS Mon 14-Nov-16 23:03:16

Her mum and dad would be laughing their socks off.

I bet they were surprised she went in the water if she can't swim.

rubylady Tue 15-Nov-16 03:13:34

POGS I love Scarlett too, she seems to have an innocence about her that I find endearing.

I did warm to Carol though when she was talking to the toad, telling it that she had frog eyes too. Aw.

It's gonna be a good un. grin

BlueBelle Tue 15-Nov-16 04:41:29

They all seem a friendly lot who have blended well wondering if they will throw someone awful in the mix to rev it all up like Lady C last year
Scarlett s lovely she has a nice sense of humour that gives her the edge and amazing blue eyes some of the other ladies seem to blend into the background but early days yet they ll expand I m sure, Larry is a natural senior statesman who ll probably stay to the end

Jane10 Tue 15-Nov-16 06:19:45

I wasn't convinced at all by Carol V's 'conversation' with the toad. I think it was a deliberate attempt to appear 'charming' or 'sweet'. She's a pro. She knows they are recorded day and night. Not impressed.
Larry Lamb? King of the jungle material. The only one of the men with a clue about anything.

Mary59nana Tue 15-Nov-16 10:34:57

Carol V is a pro she knows how to play for the camera and get maximum air time
Larry looks like a gentleman and will stay till the end
