Just watched this on catch-up. He left the camera trained on the area where the car was, and where his injured friend was. The camera would pick him - the Watchman - up as he drove into the area, and also when he was bundled into the car. He would know he was likely to die, but it would be recorded on CCTV that he was taken away.

Thank you Antieflo and all. Seems like a strange ending.
It was disturbing, wasn't it, I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it so. Yes, I suppose it does show what our lives are like now in these days of cameras everywhere.

Yes it was weirdly disturbing. I felt he was living vicariously through watching the lives of others , including his family, through the CCTV and that when he went out into reality he had to die.

I think it was really about the surveillance society we live in. You know, you can walk through any city and be followed by cameras.
He took his wedding ring off; he was expecting to die.

Henetha, I've just been watching it , fingers over eyes, terrified . I, too, had to switch it off . I'll maybe manage to watch it to the finish later .

Henetha, no they didn't kill the captured friend, but The Watchman went to find him, and they got him into their car instead, and drove off. So I don't know what happened to him, all left up to the imagination.

I chickened out towards the end because I found the whole thing disturbing, so don't know how it ended. I have to be careful what I watch because violence gives me nightmares.
BUT, I am now longing to know how it ended! Can someone please tell me, - er, gently? Did those thugs kill the bloke they captured? And what happened to the watchman?
