Brian Cox has a very gentle soothing voice.

It soothed DH off to sleep, although he was very keen to watch it. He said he 'heard' it although his eyes were shut.

I am watching it now (recorded). I have not noticed any problems, it is the HD version I have recorded.

Did anyone else have problems with the sound on this programme tonight.
I really enjoyed it but sometimes could not hear him and other commentators at all, I also found the 'music' a bit loud and disjointed.
