The Queen's 90 Birthday Celebration from Windor

She really enjoyed the Oman Cavalry though. So did I - all those women showing their legs and holding hands with men who weren't their husbands! And what riders!

I'm not a huge Shirley Bassey fan but she really shone compared with most of the female singers around today. We weren't left in any doubt that she was a big star! And she could still sing the socks off most of them.

I enjoyed the 'secret' Swiss drummers most of all. The Queen had her "We are not amused" look some of the time when the cameras focused on her. She is amazing for 90, but I expect long events might take their toll now. She was slightly more stooped than I've seen her before after she'd done the line-up handshakes at the end and looked rather stiff getting into her car. It's the first time I've seen her act her age, but she is fitter I suspect than most 90 year olds. I enjoyed the show. We do pageantry really well.

Wish they hadn't kept cutting from the horses to the singers. I'd rather have watched the horses and listened to the music.

Is Shirl a breed of horse ? And no, no one is forcing me to watch , I am watching because I am curious as to just how many second rate stars are taking part , did catch a glimpse of Damien Lewis so not all second rate
