Luther

I like to look at Idris but I do wish he would stop mumbling and speak up. I couldn't be bothered with the story line and also watched Dad's' Army. From the sublime to the ridiculous indeed.

I thought the "Dad's Army" play was very good - it made me feel quite nostalgic (for the days when Dad's Army was on, not for the war). Not many of those actors left now.

I gave up and watched the making of Dad's Army instead.

I missed the bit where the bad man managed to disconnect himself from the radiator. I saw him pull the whole thing away from the wall, but then I was gone again. Next time I saw him he was in a car. Without the radiator I presume.

I must admit I kept nodding off last night. Was he and his dead girlfriend really into selling illegally obtained diamonds and planning to retire to somewhere hot?

He had hacked into a lot of people's lives via their Skype cameras, which is why I always keep mine disconnected and facing away from the me on the desk. I don't know why he picked out those particulr individuals, but he wanted to be like them, to have their lives. So he ate bits of them. Reminded me of a poem by Walter de la Mare. "Its a very odd thing, As odd can be, That whatever Miss T eats, Turns into Miss T."

Can anyone tell me why the murderer chose those people as hi victims and why he ate some of their parts? In fact can anyone tell me what was going on at all please?

I only watched the first 10 mins of last nights episode just couldn't get into it at all and very depressing imo,although I could watch Idris Elba all day long he is so attractive and compelling viewing usually.

I was left completely baffled - usually manage to follow these things, but not this time.

I shouted out "Don't open the fridge!"
There were so many similarities to the Bridge - the murders, the booby trap, the bearded computer guy, the weird detective.

Did anyone understand the subplot about the dead girl ?
Not a spoiler as this was part of last week's episode.

Well, despite being warned that I might find some scenes 'upsetting' I managed to watch tonight's final episode to the end.

Not going to say much in case some people haven't watched it yet, but although it was gripping and required a lot of concentration I felt the ending was a bit of an anticlimax.

Idris Elba is seriously gorgeous, though...wouldn't mind him in my Christmas stocking!

I was afraid he was going to open the fridge and it would blow up like the one at the other place did. Although I suppose you couldn't have Luther without Luther.

Not much of a detective then-only good for looking behind the fridge. Dread to think what he'd find if he moved mine!

trisher I'm guessing Luther didn't know where the other exit from the duct was.

so if there was another more obvious way out, as used by villain, why didn't Luther use it?

Loved it, just wish there were more than 2 episodes, I love gruesome stuff.

There was nothing to suggest the baddie had gone through the duct that time. Luther saw him for the first time in the bus garage.The fridge was hiding that route for when he needed it.

That's the way I saw it anyway.

Enjoyed it. Noticed the fridge and decided to just be amused. Will watch next week

You're right, trisher - I never thought of that!
It seemed like a really heavy fridge as well, as Luther had to actually knock it over rather than shift it out of the way!

(I actually thought he was going to open the door and there'd be various body-parts in it, but that would have been a bit too obvious!)
