TV Licences

Do you think the TV licence is out of date and the BBC should seek other methods of funding, maybe by subscription or advertising for example? I think it is a thing of the past now that we have the internet and computers.
Remember those old TV detector vans that used to drive around years ago and scare people into buying a licence?
Many people don't watch TV in the same way these days. What do you think?

I believe you've posted on this subject before mrsmopp. I am still of the opinion that the licence fee is well worth the service we get and is far preferable to, for instance, relying on advertising.

I'm with Eloethan on this! Worth every penny and a straightforward way of paying.

Keep the license fee, I do not want adverts every few minutes , anyone tried watching tennis on SKY ? I couldn't watch a film on the internet, screen to small. Keep the beeb as it is ,
