Does anyone else watch this. I am hooked.

I was slobbing in front of the tele avoiding the usual Friday night rubbish, and I watched 24hrs in A&E. It is fascinating.

They do look at the medical issues but what is handled brilliantly are the thoughts and stories of the staff, patients and relatives. What comes over is the wisdom and stoicism of many of the people involved. Including how the staff feel about working in this very pressured area of medicine.

There are some amazing stories from ordinary people. It is screened with great care and sensitivity. It's often tear jerking and worth a watch.
I would guess a skilled interviewer in the background has been getting these patients to talk and tell their stories. It wins my vote as good television.

It makes "Casualty" look complete rubbish.

I watch it too - the staff are impressive.

I love it too. Especially as the current series is set in what was my local hospital for over 30 years. All my babies were born there too, although it was a much smaller place in those days!

But that's why I'd rather watch 'Casulty' because I know it's not real !!

I love it! I've watched all the series. I especially like Rhys one of the consultants because he's from Wales. You've got to cheer for your own haven't you? (Smile)

I'm addicted too! It restores my faith in humanity as the staff are so caring.

TwiceAsnice, to do a smiley (or whatever), go to the bottom of the page and follow instructions. A smile would be: open square bracket, type smile and close square bracket. smile
