My DH has sometimes been successful (a bit hit and miss) in recording a VHS tape onto DVD (we have a recordable DVD player that we bought before giving in several years ago and getting a Sky+ box). If you know anyone who has this sort of kit, you might be able to do your own conversion to DVD. Just a thought. Getting it done commercially can be very expensive I believe.

P.S. you are right it is only on video....what a shame.

We used to have a video of it at school when we taught "Britain since 1948". Kids loved it, especially Bill and Ben. It must be available on DVD.

We have been watching Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes. Kids love them and find them exciting. We saw Hitchcock's 39 Steps this weekend, with the still glam Robert Donat. We will watch The Lady Vanishes but draw the line at Psycho.

At first they complained about the black and white but now don't seem to notice it.

"Was the world black and white when you were little Granny.?"..........NO

I have been trying to get a DVD of the old WWM episodes. All I can find are VHS videos.

We watched a few with our little ones on the computer and they loved them; except that the preceding advert was for a horror film!
