The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

To be fair, and why should one be, they are paid to get things right! Virgin trains do usually say "Standard class is situated at the rear/front of the train" in my experience, along with the Quiet carriages.

As for the rest of it I wonder in how many other kitchens all over the country, people are shouting at their wireless sets?

Nelliemoser Tue 29-Sept-15 12:43:21

Mind you the current story lines have got us lot and mumsnet fired up about things. So the scriptwriters are obviously getting it right.

I definately think Helen is now worried about Rob wanting P R for Henry ans that she knows he deleted the video of Rob tipping the ball before it was caught. She seems distinctly worried now.

Rob will also have annoyed the cricket team by his overbearing behaviour.

I just wonder how much longer they are going to let this story run for.

grumppa Tue 29-Sept-15 14:19:56

Rob will have annoyed the captain, Adam, but he won the match for the team and they (or many of them) will be prepared to forgive him a lot.

merlotgran Tue 29-Sept-15 14:24:34

Adam is going to have to fess up to Ian about the NYE kiss. It's the only trump card Rob has to play with.

I juts heard that Ruth's mother has died.

Teetime Tue 29-Sept-15 15:40:18

I see I am behind the story line again- I must learn to take the archers seriously like DH who is an addict but he does usually spend Sunday morning listening in and doing the ironing at the same time so cant complain. Cant stand Ruth's whining voice! Is that Heresy?

MargaretX Tue 29-Sept-15 17:02:05

Oh Dear! I do put onions in a pasta bake. I put onions in everything!
Fried crispy first.

LullyDully Tue 29-Sept-15 17:18:43

A totally unrelated comment . ...sorry Why isn't anyone called Margaret any more. ? Must be due a come back. Now we can get back to the Archers after my senior moment

Nelliemoser Tue 29-Sept-15 17:39:02

That's twice today I have thought I had posted on GN and it's not taken.

annsixty Tue 29-Sept-15 18:27:13

I was quite sure I posted on Good Morning but it isn't there!!
I sent best wishes to Hilda for her Father's funeral.

annsixty Tue 29-Sept-15 18:29:00

Just checked again and it is there now. I must be going mad.

Anne58 Tue 29-Sept-15 19:18:58

Helen must be pregnant, Pat knows the signs!

merlotgran Tue 29-Sept-15 19:29:56

Can't Helen remember being pregnant with Henry? hmm

Alea Tue 29-Sept-15 19:52:54

See my post of Thursday 17 September !! grin

Luckygirl Fri 02-Oct-15 20:07:45

Well - what a silly piece of plot - Rob is just being portrayed as a complete loony - telling Henry it is definitely a boy etc. It becomes less worth listening to.

merlotgran Fri 02-Oct-15 20:16:34

Just so long as it's not twins hmm

Nelliemoser Sat 03-Oct-15 08:51:30

Rob seems to have become really scary very suddenly indeed. Although he would not be the first abusive hubby who has managed to appear a reasonable guy, but starts to show his true colours as soon as he has married.

I wonder if Rob behaved this way towards his ex Jess. If so why we did not get Rob's ex Jess commenting to Helen about Rob's behaviour. As Rob had done the dirty on Jess we might have expected her to tell Helen what she thought about the way Rob behaved.

Nelliemoser! Do remember this is a story not real life.
(However realistic the situation of a very abusive controlling husband is in real life.)

Alea Sat 03-Oct-15 08:59:11

He sounded very Victorian when he was berating Helen about Fallon running the cafe"Not well done, Helen!" plus thoroughly obnoxious," controlling" is putting it mildly. I think Jess had a lucky escape?

shysal Sat 03-Oct-15 09:31:22

I still think Jess's baby is Rob's.

Luckygirl Sat 03-Oct-15 09:41:52

You and me both!

LullyDully Sat 03-Oct-15 09:49:24

She needs to lower her voice so it's not so high and desperate and stand up to him before it gets out of control. Be a it more like Pat perhaps.

sara4 Sat 03-Oct-15 19:11:40

Jess did try to warn Helen about Rob but she was too besotted to listen. It is only a story but still is quite upsetting.

Gracesgran Mon 05-Oct-15 21:10:20

Shysal and Luckygirl I was absolutely convinced that Rob is Jess's baby's father. My points would be:

Option 1
* Why did the writers bring in a doctor who, in the past, was not a goody by any means.
* Could Rob have got his measure and paid him to take the test for him.
* If he had to pay him off, was this why the records were wrong at the dairy - did he steal from there.

Option 2
* Was he shown to be the father.
* He would have had the money taken from his pay but he is no longer working.

Not as happy with option 2 but option 1 seems a possibility.

Nelliemoser Mon 05-Oct-15 22:02:21

Gracesgran I had not thought on those lines, but it is not an impossibilty.

merlotgran Sun 11-Oct-15 20:17:50

FGS Not another controlling male. Is Alex having lessons from Rob? angry

I'll be getting them muddled up.
