Oh Lord, this brings back memories - DMIL used to love Daniel O'Donnell. It was a bit of a family joke. But we always knew what to buy at Christmas!

Changed my mind about DOD being the first off. He's got a huge loyal fanbase so he could be in for a while. Had a smile on my face since I heard. Don't think I have ever been more surprised at a signing.

Another big shock is he's only 53! Younger than me! I thought he was in his 60s!

I remember seeing an interview with him when he won his gold medal at the last Olympics, and thinking that he seemed too nice to be a boxer.

Teetime sorry to burst your bubble, but Tess and Claudia are presenting again this year - and long may it continue! I love Tess in Brucie's role as it suits her so much better, and I've loved Claude since her ITT days (Zoe is just about bearable now after several series).

I don't know Anthony but he's sounds a bit injury prone to me. He's doing the show while he recovers from shoulder surgery (lifts anyone?) and has had Achilles tendon problems too. Hope he can stand the pace!

I also have never heard of Jay McGuiness or Anita Rani- nothing new- I have normally never heard of 50% + of the contestants.

I had an idea who Anita Rani was, but had to Google her to check and I've heard of The Wanted, but couldn't name a member of the group to save my life. Didn't know they had split up either - not that I could name any of their songs. But when I Googled Jay, I thought his face was familiar.
