Sheridan Smith/ 'The C Word'

I've just finished watching it and yes, I was reduced to tears frequently, as I expected. Sheridan Smith's acting was up there with the best - she really does deserve an award for her performance. Actually, the entire cast were superb - her husband, her parents. Top class drama, so very moving.

My mum had a mastectomy at 68. Even so I found it so brilliantly done I'm glad I watched it.

I can't remember the last time I was so engrossed in a film, but very sad.
I feel for those for whom it would be too close to home.

I love Sheridan Smith I think she's a great talent, but decided not to watch this too heartbreaking especially after the sad news of Rio Ferdinand's recent loss. As always, I heard she was very good in the role.

Too close to home for me

I couldn't bear to watch it - my sister had it when she was about that age (she is much younger than me) and has had recurrences and more surgery over the years. Thankfully she is still with us; but this programme would have been more than I could cope with.

Oh I shall have to find this on catch-up. I do like Sheridan Smith, such a very talented actress. Thanks for the tip-off.
