Just watched two episodes back to back. Absolutely brilliant,

Was David Warner the stiff?

grumppa Fri 10-Apr-15 22:02:28

Me too, Deedaa. Drove up from Oxford to see him as the Dane. Last saw him in the flesh in a coffee bar in Fulham a few years ago, nattering with Dudley Sutton. And of course he was the villain in the film about the boat.

Ana Fri 10-Apr-15 22:08:12

No, he wasn't 'the stiff' jo1book. He played the head of the village who sent for the witchfinders.

jo1book Fri 10-Apr-15 22:18:58

Sorry pardon; on wrong episode.

Deedaa Fri 10-Apr-15 23:39:28

Gosh Dudley Sutton's another one grumppa He was always popping up in something in the (very) old days.

Dudley Sutton was in Lovejoy! He was playing a rea character ' wide boy.

Ah yes David Warner, a bit of a 60s heartthrob! ( in both interpretations of the phrase) x

I enjoyed the last series of Inside No. 9 but I am enjoying this series more so far.

It is on the lines of the League of Gentleman and I wish they would repeat that series too, I think it was a bit ahead of it's time and if you like Inside No 9 were you a fan of the inhabitants of Royston Vasey?

Ytytk67 Sat 11-Apr-15 10:59:15

I found that Royston Vasey most perplexing and hilarious at the same time. Brenda the cab driver making me cringe, whilst Tubbs was awful but I couldn't stop laughing

Pogs. Oh yes. Wasn't that the one with "local shops for local people". I have been in a few of them; mostly in Wales.

jo1book. grin

That's the one 'Edward went to London'.

I used to like the vet who practically killed off every animal he touched.

jo1book Sat 11-Apr-15 13:28:27

Pogs. What was the one with David Walliams and the bald fellow. You know; "we are ladies" and the w.i. projectile vomiters?

Ana Sat 11-Apr-15 13:30:02

Litte Britain - they had to get rid of the vomiting WI women and the breast-feeding man for the last series as there were so many complaints!

Ana Sat 11-Apr-15 13:30:54

(sorry, I realise I'm not POGS! grin)

POGS Sat 11-Apr-15 15:02:42

Ana

You could be some people think I am BUBBLES DE VERE. grin

There is a similarity 'darling'. wink

Ana Sat 11-Apr-15 15:06:37

I hope it's only a passing resemblance POGS!

Well, another amazing episode. The big reveal in the closing seconds. I certainly did NOT see that coming. How do the two of them think these stories up, pure genius!

Ana Thu 16-Apr-15 22:47:00

I thought the big reveal was the identity of the caller. The shock ending was good though - blink and you could've missed it!
