I have just watched this - brilliant. David Tennant and Billy Connolly in one film together.

If you get the chance to see this then please do - it is hilarious and touching and such a joy - a film that has no killing and no special effects - perfect!

What a coincidence Mishap DH and I watched this on DVD this very evening. What a perfectly lovely (bittersweet) film it was too. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The eldest little girl (Lottie ?) in the film reminded me so much of our eldest DGD. Beautiful, sensitive and such a worrier. Bless her. I loved Billy Connolly and David Tenant who were perfect in the roles as father and son. Blimey how much of an arse hole a prat was the older bother?

Highly recommend the film. smile

I loved it too. Watched it on a plane to Australia and sat with tears pouring down my face by the end. Not many comedies could have that effect. A couple of hours later, one of the first people who passed us in Melbourne was Billy Connolly, who was appearing there. I thought I was hallucinating! grin

How very bizarre Gilly that we should both choose to watch the DVD on the same evening! Glad you enjoyed it too.
