Worthy winner in Jennifer, matching up to her hubby Adrian Edmondson, who won Masterchef in 2013. And how old is Dame Edna now? Been putting on the slap for some time me thinks. Just checked, first appeared as Dame Edna in 1955. That is some doing. Barry Humphries will be 81 on the 17th of this month. That is amazing. flowers shame they are not gladdies. smile

I laughed out loud when Lulu's cake fell through the hole grin Even DH enjoyed the programme and he normally hates "celeb" stuff.

It was great fun. Hope the rest will be as good. I'm another one who isn't keen on Jonathan Ross, hopefully he will show a better side to himself.

The problem is that Dame Edna's cooking is vey much like my own. I had to throw away a baking tin once as it and the cake just couldn't be parted. blush

I too loved the bit where Lulu's cake fell through the hole in the tin grin

I must see if Lakeland stock metal cutters as a kitchen essential. They probably will now!

Watching Joanna Lumley pick the rice out of her baking!

rosequartz Thu 12-Feb-15 12:44:45

Are any of them on GN?

Lulu mentioned her grandchild(ren) helping her to bake

Greyduster Thu 12-Feb-15 12:25:39

That bit had me on the floor!

whenim64 Thu 12-Feb-15 12:12:23

I've never seen a cake cut out of its tin with metal cutters before - hilarious! grin

Nice to see a few wrinkles on show as well! They all looked very natural (apart from Dame Everage of course, who wouldn't be seen dead without the full works grin)

I loved the programme, especially the moment when the bottom fell out of Lulu's chocolate cake!

I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Jennifer Saunders was a very worthy winner and Joanna Lumley had me in fits of laughter.

I can't stand JR so might have to give next week a miss.

J52 Thu 12-Feb-15 10:37:24

next weeks looks just as entertaining, especially Jonathan Ross. I don't really care for his style of chat show, so I'll enjoy his efforts at baking.

Sorry don't want to upset his fans! x

annodomini Thu 12-Feb-15 10:33:40

It was fun, but I was glad I didn't have to sample the products. grin

rascal Thu 12-Feb-15 10:18:48

I hadn't laughed so much for a while! Just brill!

Stansgran Thu 12-Feb-15 10:13:57

I liked Joanna Lumley's crunchy bits in her pastry. Didn't she say somewhere she hated cake?

lefthanded Thu 12-Feb-15 10:09:41

I have to admire the way he never breaks character - not even for a second. Must be quite tiring.

J52 Thu 12-Feb-15 09:48:29

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Dame Edna was wonderfully self a facing!

It cheered me up thinking of my own baking disasters - and some of my better efforts! x
