I remember being unsure at the end of the first series, and I am already slightly confused following tonight's episode. However, I was really looking forward to it, so I hope I shall be able to keep up. I need subtitles to help me!
What did others think of it so far?

I did notice the tum on Broadchurch and thought it was quite a good touch! Might have known it wasn't down to the production staff, though...grin

Well I thought Alex was dead (Hurrah) unfortunately he wasn't! I have lost all interest in who did anything. I don't care if Joe is found Guilty or not. I don't care who killed those 2 girls. In fact I don't care about any of the characters. I only watch now to see what ridiculous thing happens next.

Just managed to get up to speed and I thought it had picked up.

The vicar did it!!!!

I think he was a peeping tom because he loves the blonde girl who was rumptytumptying with the dad and the boy caught him and he accidently strangled him.

Now I've said that it will turn out to be the reporter grin

Are all bets on the female neighbour being the killer of the girl or was the photo and necklace too obvious in pointing you in that direction confused

Is this the final series does anybody know?

Tegan Sat 14-Feb-15 16:17:42

I thought thevicardidit in series 1. I keep forgetting that we have two murders and a disappearance going on in series 2.

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 16:20:38

I thought they'd found the body of the second girl now. Or haven't they? confused

I'm also confused because I thought we'd actually seen Ellie's husband kill Danny in a flashback during the first series...

merlotgran Sat 14-Feb-15 16:21:58

What was in that furnace? confused

Ana I was relying on you knowing exactly what was going on.

Tegan Sat 14-Feb-15 16:39:45

I'd forgotten about the furnace. Howmanygranniesdoesittaketosolveamurdermystery confused...

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 16:44:20

Sorry merlot, I'm beginning to doubt whether I know anything now! grin

I thought the girl's body was in the furnace.

And it was certainly randy Welsh woman who broke into the car and took the locket...

merlotgran Sat 14-Feb-15 16:51:42

If the girl's body was in the furnace, did they tell anybody? confused

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 16:57:37

That's what I'm struggling with! No mention seems to have been made of it. Or I might have blinked and missed that bit.

Tegan Sat 14-Feb-15 17:00:33

Is there a Guardian blog about it?

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 17:07:42

Just had a quick look online and the general consensus seems to be that Ellie and Alec only suspected the body may have been disposed of in the furnace. So we still don't know whether she's dead or just missing.

Tegan Sat 14-Feb-15 17:09:22

Maybe she murdered everybody wink....

merlotgran Sat 14-Feb-15 17:15:08

Suspected??

Will Emilia Fox and her gang turn up next week?

Tegan Sat 14-Feb-15 17:30:14

Can't; theyr'e on at the same time shock...

grumppa Sat 14-Feb-15 17:31:12

Assuming the furnace was lit after the body was put in there, it would probably take more than Emilia Fox's team to find any evidence. Certainly the two dopey detectives wouldn't have found anything.

rosequartz Sat 14-Feb-15 17:53:35

POGS and I wrote it together, and now she's gone and given the finale away!! grin

Mishap Sat 14-Feb-15 17:58:51

Phew! I think the vicar did it - but I suspect that is what we are meant to think. He was certainly very keen for Joe Miller to fess up and plead guilty and jolly upset when he didn't.

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 18:06:21

But why did Joe Miller confess to the murder in the first place?

Mishap Sat 14-Feb-15 18:07:24

Indeed - that is a puzzle.

Iam64 Sat 14-Feb-15 18:08:05

Yes and why is there so much evidence against him. I agree, the vicar is dodgy (well dodgy as some younger members of my family would say).

merlotgran Sat 14-Feb-15 18:26:38

What happened to the postman?

rosequartz Sat 14-Feb-15 19:48:21

I have forgotten all about the postman.

Surely not him, that would be a bit of a cop-out.

Ana Sat 14-Feb-15 19:51:31

Yes, I thought he was a red herring in the first series. It would be ludicrous if they dragged him up again now! Wouldn't it...? confused

rosequartz Sat 14-Feb-15 19:56:52

Yes!!
