I know there must be another thread about it but I haven't time to go through the archives. I've only just discovered it! jingle; you must be so jealous cause I've got it all ahead of me [apart from the first 7 episodes of series one which I've just watched]. Why didn't you beat me about the head and demand that I watched it sooner???It's like LOTR's mixed up with Science Fantasy with a bit of Gormenghast thrown in for good measure.

It is brilliant Tegan I`ve watched from the beginning and can`t wait for the new series to start. Keep promising myself to go on the GoT bus tour to see the various locations - do know some of them - but others are hidden away maybe in the spring I will do it.

Tbh, I find it easier to follow the story in book form. Got it all on Kindle. The tv series are fantastic though. Glad you have discovered it Tegan. Enjoy. tchsmile

Has he written the next lot? Or have the tv people lost patience and written it themselves?

I downloaded a sample from Amazon, but just couldn't get on with it. Such a pity, because I really thought it was my sort of thing.

Ariadne that sample was probably the first chapter of Book1, and that is totally unrepresentative of the rest of the books. And the story doesn't refer back to that episode until much later, by which time it makes a lot more sense. IYSWIM!

From chapter 2 onwards it is much more enjoyable (and accessible! tchhmm)
