I have recorded the series so far, in your opinion is it worth watching please?

Didn't think he did but his murderer told the journalist that PS had given him his black eye and he seemed to believe that he had given his wife the benefit as it were and she screamed at him that she had but that may juts have been to goad him. I did drop off at one pint when all the murmurings were going on mid interview.

Am practising my enigmatic murmerings on DH who keeps saying 'WHAT'. Clearly I am not fascinating yet perhaps its cos I don't have any lip gloss on.

Yes it is worth watching.

A touch of laryngitis might help, but I wouldn't wish that on you, Teetime! Don't forget to keep your face expressionless at all times, and don't move your lips when you speak...

Thanks grannyknot and granart, you jogged my memory for me... and Ana of course you are right , he's not actually dead.

I have just watched the final episode and my take is Spectre died in her arms.

I think the point was made she thought more of getting help for Spectre rather than the young detective she had just slept with. The young detective had made reference to her possibly having a 'bit of a thing' for Spectre meaning she had got too close mentally through it all and she found an attraction for Spectre, she had some weird issues in her own life which Spectre knew about through reading her diary.

I thought it was good adult entertainment and I enjoyed the acting and storyline, I just wish the Fall, The Missing didn't try to be clever with their ending, are the BBC drama production team trying to emulate The Sopranos or something? They think it's cool whilst the viewer think it's arty farty.

Watched the whole series in about 2 and a half days after reading up in Wiki what the first series was about at the suggestion of one of the GNs and really enjoyed it.

I thought the girl who played Katie was very realistic as a young girl obsessed with an older man.

I found Gillian A's acting rather suspect - laboured speech, few facial expressions, very high heels, did she go into the forest wearing them ? I wonder if she always acts like that as I have never seen her before.

No, she's usually more animated than that. I wondered if it was purely her take on a british accent.

POGS, I thought exactly the same.

I've never watched Gillian A in anything before.
Really liked The Fall but thought her acting pretty poor, or else she was very good at acting in a wooden emotionless fashion. Couldn't quite get to grips with her character.

Here's Anderson being herself, and again here.

Gilliam Anderson was well known for playing Dana Scully in the X Fliles Series which ran for years and had quite a cult following.

She won an award for Best Actress at the Evening Standard Theatre Award in London in NovemberNovember 2014 for her role in A Street Car Named Desire.

I think she came over as wooden and 'distant' because that is exactly what her character called for. She found difficulty in relationships hence her love um and leave um attitude. Spectre obviously found there was an issue with her relationship with her father when he read her diary and Spectre had issues with his mother hence he kept a lock of his mother's hair. They were united in a weird similarity of their past and lack of ability to commit, other than Spectre with his children.
