Biker

I think this is brilliant . Sarah Lancashire really is an excellent actress isn't she. They are all good.

The story is hard hitting and that is a fact of life, sad to say, but it is done with human emotions being shown in the raw and it is proving to be a series I want to watch and can't wait for the next episode.

I just want to hug her grandson.

Yes, there was some mumbling last night, Charleygirl (I'm on high-alert after the Jamaica Inn debacle! grin) What a fantastic drama, though. Sarah Lancashire is brilliant, but I found the end shocking last night and sat there stunned as the credits rolled. Can't wait for episode 5.

I am watching it- last night was very violent. I did think knowing there is a police killer on the loose and she already has her suspicions why were the police not going out in twos? Is it the cuts- is that the reality of modern policing? Scary.

I think Sarah Lancashire does the best crying of any actress - and she does it in everything- runny mascara and all.

I do not have hearing problems but I find that at times I cannot hear what they are saying. There was not always clear diction, many times it was mumbling (for me anyway).

It was brutal and I agree, she should have had back up before she entered the house and certainly when she realised that the woman had been kidnapped. Also definitely before the fellow came indoors and brutally assaulted her.

Gripping and scary, excellent acting. Thanks for starting the thread Bikergran, I looked yesterday on TV forum while in the car ,but I don't watch Prey, so I didnt read that thread. I had to ask a friend how they managed to escape, as it was so violent I couldn't look!what happened to his mother BTW?

Despite the bruitality, I am enjoying it more than some recent dramas. I agree that she would have called for back up, surely training makes it an instant reaction.
It probably is more realistic than many police dramas? Looking forward to the next two episodes. Joe Armstrong looks incredibly like his father.( sorry if that's an obvious comment). X

Just watched last night's recording - still brutal but so well acted - another two episodes to go!

I too am enjoying it, but I was very annoyed last night, because I did feel the writer let the story-line down, with Sarah not getting back-up instantly. I do not think it would have saved the brutality, which indeed was horrendous, but would have kept the 'authenticity' of the plot. Good story though, great acting too.

We've been talking about it on the 'Prey' thread, biker, just to confuse everyone! confused

We should migrate over here really.

anyone else been watching it...I am finding it a good drama, but must admit it has been a bit brutal..especially last week with the young police lady.
