Try using subtitles. Mr Aka is rather deaf (among other things) so I put them on for him.

rosequartz I had the same problem and there is little wrong with my hearing. I was not about it at the start but really enjoyed it towards the end. I cannot see how they will drag out another 5 episodes.

I really enjoyed Happy Valley, but even so found some of the dialogue in the outdoor scenes a bit indistinct. Is it me or was it rather mumbly and rapid? I can hear the news and the adverts just fine.

Not surprised you're confused, when. They're firing crime dramas at us in rapid succession at the moment. I preferred Happy Valley to Prey because Sally Wainwright is a brilliant writer.

So she was, nina oops! I didn't continue watching Prey, couldn't follow it. Yes, recommend Happy Valley.

I think I must be watching too much TV - they're all starting to blend into one! grin

Enjoyed both 'Prey' and 'Happy Valley'

when your getting confused. Sarah was in 'Happy Valley' last night, yes I agree a splendid performance.
I also enjoyed 'Prey' I think your nap 'Deb' spoilt it for you as I didn't find it confusing.

I shall be watching the next episode if both.

Yes, I watched it and thought Sarah Lancashire was at her best. Can't wait for the next episode.

I watched it but not sure I understood it. Didn't help that I fell asleep towards the end and missed the important bits.

Did anyone watch the new three parter thriller Prey, on ITV at same time as Hinterland? It also had rave reviews and we were impressed with the production, so will have to watch Hinterland on iPlayer.
