Anyone watching this? The problem with watching The Bridge is that all other police dramas seem rubbish afterwards. I think this is the first one that can compare favourably in any way. I remember the first series but this is better.

Best series on telly for ages.

Now for an explanation when Keeley was in prison in the last episode she found a note under her plate saying 'we know' what was that all about please ?

soop Thu 06-Mar-14 12:08:29

Captivating!

MaggieP Thu 06-Mar-14 09:44:51

This is such a good series, I thought there was only one more so am delighted to find there are two! Although not sure how they can keep Keeley going for all that time after last night's ending!

Charleygirl Thu 06-Mar-14 08:57:41

two more episodes, cannot wait.

Aka Thu 06-Mar-14 08:51:25

I'm on the edge of my seat sofa. Can't wait for next week.

ninathenana Thu 06-Mar-14 07:57:21

Love it !!

I forgot it was on! Anyway, just caught up now.
I daren't take my eyes off the screen, or I miss what some of them are saying.
I'd like to think that it's getting a bit far fetched, but unfortunately I don't think it is.
Good stuff though.

Ana Wed 05-Mar-14 23:03:12

Yes! grin

merlotgran Wed 05-Mar-14 22:59:49

It's really good. I can't remember when I shouted, 'You b****rd' so many times at the telly.

Ana Wed 05-Mar-14 22:55:37

Oh, that poor woman! How much more can she endure?
I'm finding this series really gripping - BBC drama at its best.

Marelli Mon 24-Feb-14 18:03:53

Thank you, Granart - it's very slightly clearer now! grin

Granart Mon 24-Feb-14 17:30:40

Marelli do you mean when the confidential records from witness protection were brought to the investigators? This programme works on so many different levels that it can be hard to follow. If you are confused the Guardian blog gives a précis of each episode with enlightening comments from viewers.

Sorry I don't know how to do a proper link!

Just watched it all again, and I still can't understand it! What was going on at the end, when everyone was told they had to stay at the station and DI Denton was locked up....confused?

dahlia Sat 22-Feb-14 17:04:29

Thank goodness, it's not just me! I don't understand where the Kelley Hawes character got the information about the other officers, though I saw her viewing something on her computer. There was a bit where she had another officer sign papers - was this relevant or did I sleep through the really important bit? I think KH is really good in this part, and very convincing.

Charleygirl Sat 22-Feb-14 15:18:32

I thought that I was the only one not being 100% certain of what is going on. I am still enjoying it.

kittylester Sat 22-Feb-14 13:10:32

In fact, we pause it to make sure we are up to speed. blush

Marelli Sat 22-Feb-14 12:45:17

Glad I'm not the only one who does that, Kitty! We have to do it with the Scandinavian ones, too - thank goodness for the 'catch-up' facility!

kittylester Sat 22-Feb-14 10:43:04

We are thoroughly enjoying it and love Keeley Hawes! We watch it but then watch the recording (preferably in the afternoon with a brew) so we can then dissect it. We rarely 'get' it all first time round. confused

Granart, I loved the table turning and I like the fact that, up till now at least, there is a woman police officer who is acting more like we see men POs being portrayed.

We had an electric iron in the fifties and a plastic washing basket! Poor old Jessica Raine isn't having a very happy time at the moment is she? sad

Aka Sat 22-Feb-14 10:01:02

I'm lovin' it!

Granart Sat 22-Feb-14 09:43:43

I loved the way Keeley turned the tables on her interrogators when she was arrested. It gets better and better!

Eloethan Sat 22-Feb-14 00:19:56

I really enjoyed "Line of Duty" though I was a bit confused about what was going on. I thought Keeley Hawes was quite frightening.

Bez Fri 21-Feb-14 19:16:02

We had an electric iron during the war but I remember if we had electric cuts my mother had kept her old iron one and used that but it was never really a success. Many of these war time, and shortly after, series have mistakes in them - used to really annoy me but now I just think that they have employed people too young to know and not careful enough to check the facts.

NanKate Fri 21-Feb-14 18:45:11

I only recorded this series by chance and so enjoyed it last night I watched both episodes back to back. Excellent smile

Lona Fri 21-Feb-14 18:38:10

Yes, she used to be slim didn't she? I almost think she looks in the early stages of pregnancy.

Ana Fri 21-Feb-14 18:36:08

Oh yes, meant to say I'd watched it. I didn't see the first episode, but I did think Keeley Hawes was extremely good in her part.

Like others, I've never warmed to her as an actress in the past but she's obviously taken this role extremely seriously. She looks completely different, pale and puffy-faced, and has 'a past' which will be revealed in due course.
