I've already posted a question on this and I'm amazed that no-one has responded. How long have these visual commentaries been going on? Was it a decision made or was it debated beforehand. It is seriously driving me bonkers - I just have to switch off the programme - if it is to aid blind people - well ok - but shouldn't we be able to switch it off? Can someone tell me something PLEASE!!! I'm wondering whether I've accidentally activated this and its therefore possible to disactivate it? More than anything its the patronising delivery that irritates.

Sorry, specki, but I don't understand what you mean. I've not come across any visual commentaries on anything I've watched. Is it on all channels? confused

specki you can switch it off, just like subtitles.

There's a button on the remote called 'audio' or similar.

Yes you can switch it off. Button on my remote (Youview) with AD on it and an arrow pointing up.

You can switch it off, - the 'AD' button? Yes, it confused me watching Simon Reeve I think it was.

I did it! Its gone! I'm so happy! Heartfelt thanks to you all.

Reflecting on it though - I'm now glad that I accidentally found it because it must be wonderful for visually impaired people - just wish they'd use voices which were less patronising!
