Is it me? Or are there some male TV presenters who are exceedingly easy on the eye these days? I am thinking of Simon Reeve (Pilgrimage) Michael Scott (Greeks) Brian Cox (who looks much too young to be an eminent scientist), even Paxo - depending on your taste) among others.
I know my Mum used to like "that nice Michael Aspel" but are there more good looking "nice young men" - or is it me? wink

I have to agree with all you Neil Oliver fans, he's lovely, not only his accent, but also his hair! I love long hair on a man....as long as it is well groomed wink

KatyK Thu 16-Jan-14 13:07:45

Jud - Yes I certainly have noticed that young man playing D'Artagnan -lovely.

Nelliemoser Thu 16-Jan-14 12:44:39

It's not just the accent it's the tone of his voice sigh! I would like his voice on my Sat Nav. Right now I have "Tom Toms" Irish Sean.

I have heard, from someone who has met him, that Neil Oliver's Scottish accent is nothing like as pronounced as it is on TV. I personally think it's a bit strident.

Has anyone noticed that young man playing D'Artagnan in the new Muskateers? Luke some Spanish sounding name. Jaw droppingly beautiful. But considerably younger than my own son! wink No idea what his mind is like though.

Benedict Cumberbatch mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Flowerofthewest Thu 16-Jan-14 12:22:04

Neil Oliver and that accent. WOW

Tegan Thu 16-Jan-14 12:20:05

Oh yes; mind you don't you find that these gorgeous men have to have an interesting mind as well, whereas men will just look at a gorgeous woman and not even consider her intelligence?

janeainsworth Thu 16-Jan-14 05:01:43

I like Andrew Graham Dixon.

annodomini Wed 15-Jan-14 22:44:34

I've always fancied Captain Picard. grin

I rather liked the beard, but I gather he's shaved it off again.
I was talking about Patrick Stewart one day at work and one of the girls said "But he's really old!" The trouble is so am I - so he doesn't seem that old at all confused

annodomini Wed 15-Jan-14 16:42:40

I much prefer Paxo without the beard. He looks about 20 years younger now that he's he a shave.

KatGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 14-Jan-14 15:57:15

Deedaa

And I've had a soft spot for Paxo for a long time smile

With or without the beard? grin

soop Tue 14-Jan-14 15:06:14

I find George Alleguia [? spelling] very attractive. wink

KatyK Tue 14-Jan-14 14:52:18

Oo yes Martin Shaw. Lovely.

Soutra Tue 14-Jan-14 14:50:36

I should have started this on the Pictures thread!! grin

Gally Tue 14-Jan-14 13:41:45

Not a presenter, but Martin Shaw does it for me [heart emoticon]grin

Tegan Mon 13-Jan-14 18:48:17

He always reminds me of the pretty one from Blur and the pretty one from Radiohead.

Tegan Mon 13-Jan-14 18:47:02

He's in his mid forties shock.

KatyK Mon 13-Jan-14 17:48:29

Brian Cox was in a 'pop' group in the '90s D'ream - Things Can Only Get Better - but then you probably already know that smile

Tegan Mon 13-Jan-14 16:50:23

Simon Reeves programme about Cuba was brilliant; I missed the one about tea last night [the S.O. says it was very good]. Brian Cox is quite a bit older than he looks I think [just going to google him].

Judthepud2 Mon 13-Jan-14 16:39:30

Francesco da Mosta was very much my (mature) glass of wine. So Italian with his seductive accent and cute giggle. And he has a Venetian palace too!! Bought his first book as I love Venice. He didn't unfortunately make it as far as N. Ireland to sign it or I would have been in the queue.

But of the young presenters, Brian Cox and Simon Reeve do it for me. Very attractive young men and easy on the eye. Oh and I enjoyed their programmes as well ...... when I could concentrate. wink

KatyK Mon 13-Jan-14 12:50:33

Anno - That's lovely. I would join but I don't like Facebook.

annodomini Mon 13-Jan-14 12:41:12

I've been in love with Francesco since his very first appearance! I started a Facebook group - Francesco da Mosto Fan Club - but it has only two members of whom I am one! sad

Well Deedaa I am a bit long in the tooth for queuing up to see famous people but on this occasion I couldn't help myself! I was working at the time and asked my boss if I could have an extended lunch hour to go to see Francesco. She said OK and lots of people were asking me who he was as they had never heard of him. I showed them his pic on the computer and lots of the young folks were saying 'he's a bit old isn't he' (cheek). I think it was a topic of much amusement in the office that a soon to be 60 year old would queue to meet someone! Did I care? Not a bit grin I joined the queue and there was Francesco sitting at a table, a bottle of red wine at his side, looking gorgeous (to me anyway).
