Another one here who dreaded opening this thread! I was lucky to see him playing in BB King's club on Beale Street in Memphis a few years ago. The pair just wandered out unexpectedly and started playing. Doormen closed the club to more customers, who could hear them from out on the street, and we sat there with our mouths open! An amazing experience.

DH said this a repeat and that I watched it first time round I imagine I enjoyed it in that case.

Thinking about Clapton, how sad it was to say goodbye to the inimitable JJ Cale last July.

I was trying to catch up with GN, look up the botanical name of Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera !) and watch/listen to Eric at the same time. I wasn't at my most articulate.

I love Eric Clapton and his voice has just got better and better over the years.
