A friend told me today that there is a second series of Broadchurch coming out this year. Really? Also how can there be, as the deaths/mystery was solved?Anybody heard anything?

Well, they won't be investigating the same murder, will they? grin
I had heard a rumour that a second series was being planned.

An adaptation of Jamaica Inn will be shown at Easter. Now THAT's something I'm looking forward to.

No Ana obviously it can't be the same murder BUT even so, Olivia Colman's character had just nearly had a breakdown as her husband was the killer, and the DI in charge [David Tennant] was very ill. Still, if they can bring back people from the dead [ a certain USA serial once did..... it was all a dream! etc] then I guess they can keep a small seaside town full of murder victims.

The Bridge II is on tomorow [hurrah] I may wait and see what Broadchurch II is like and then buy the dvd. I love Jamaica Inn. Can remember my ex finishing the book and then driving us across the moors so we could go to it.

Yes Tegan I will be watching The Bridge too. Did you like The Tunnel?

Mishap Fri 03-Jan-14 19:40:37

Yup - says so in the Radio Times.

I didn't see The Tunnel sad.

Is there a danger of Broadchurch developing into another Midsommer? grin

rosesarered Sat 04-Jan-14 14:37:32

I don't think so annodomini but know what you mean! It's the leaner meaner older brother of Midsomer and I do hope it won't go on and on and lose it's looks and develop flab.hmm
I must confess that in a certain mood I can watch and quite enjoy Midsomer, especially as it is filmed near me, but normally I prefer slightly grittier stuff.
