Thought I'd bump this up because I gave up on the first series but started watching series 3 when it returned to the BBC and have now bought series one and two to catch up on. Not the programme I thought it was; very dark and gothic; it was most probably becoming a huge fan of Jerome Flynn after seeing him in Game of Thrones that made me give it a second chance.
