I recently read When Hitler stole Pink Rabbit penguinpaperback It really was amazing the way they managed to escape, and the thought of what would have happened if they'd been caught is so dreadful.
Watched this on I player recovering from a hectic session in our community shop. A delightful programme that on the surface seemed very gentle and uneventful yet told one so much about a wonderful lady. I had no idea about her history and it will make me look at her books in a new light - especially now that GCs are old enough to appreciate them
I enjoyed this programme. Daughter loved The Tiger who came to tea and all of the Mog books too. The grandchildren are enjoying them now. I'm waiting for my copy of Hitler stole Pink Rabbit to be delivered.
It was an interesting programme, but I would have liked to hear more about her life with Nigel Kneale, and a lot more about the cats. Perhaps Alan Yentob isn't a cat person!
I'm really looking forward to this. I was so thrilled to get a reply to my comments on the wbchat! You would have thought that Shakespeare had come back to thank me for liking Hamlet Shame that Alan Yentob has to be involved He always seems to think that he's the only one cultured enough to really understand the arts and it gets very annoying.
On BBC1 tonight at 10.35 the Imagine programme is called Hitler, the Tiger and Me. It is about the life of Judith Kerr, who has lots of fans here on Gransnet, if her recent webchat is anything to go by.....
