I have been waiting to see if anyone else watched this? I thought it was very good, so new, and really quite clever - anyone else?

Tegan Sun 29-Sept-13 16:35:10

Yes I watched it. Did you check out the 'video diary' on the red button as well? That was very innovative I thought. Although a bit confused that the girl who plays the ex girlfriend also plays the ex girlfriend in Bad Education [which I also love but always seem to miss].

Yes PRINTMISS I watched it and found it rather hard to watch at first but will stick with it,although I am waiting for the "comedy" to kick in as it was billed a "comedy drama".

I loved it grin and laughed out loud quite a bit. We'll definitely keep watching!

Didn't spot the video diary Tegan but will definitely investigate next time.

It's 'By All Means' tonight too - some good light hearted TV at the moment.

PRINTMISS; being nosy I looked at your profile blush and you mention folk music. Did you see the programme about Nic Jones on Friday? I missed it but am going to catch it late tonight/early tomorrow. He isn't a folk musician I'd heard of till someone mentioned him to me; he's only recently played in public since having a terrible car crash at the height of his fame in the 80's. The programme is on iplayer still as well; in fact I might check it out now while I'm tidying the computer room.

I'm still loving Count Arthur Strong, although last night's episode wasn't as funny as the others. And there's a new comedy sketch show starting tonight which looks good [although might find the only good bits are the ones shown in the trailer].

Nic Jones was on Breakfast on Friday (I think) Tegan with his son who plays the guitar in his father's band since the car crash. They seemed a lovely supportive pair. smile

Couldn't get into Count Arthur Strong sad

The S.O. looks at me when it's on and says 'do you really find this funny?' It's very marmite. One of Nic Jones albums was voted one of the best albums of all time [@70 I think]; not keen on what I've heard on utube. Going to make a cuppa and watch it on iplayer now. His guitar playing was supposed to be amazing and Bob Dylan [allegedly] stole a few riffs from him I believe shock.

I thought I didn't like that Jack whatshisname but I really laugh very loud at Bad Education.Fortunately I watch it when OH is away as he would definitely not be amused!grin

Thanks for the tip Tegan I will check out Nic Jones later. Sorry I can't agree with you about Count Arthur Strong, I didn't quite 'get' that one, but the other half thought it was very good. By any means last night was worth viewing, enjoyed that.

Fell asleep before Bad Education came on, but enjoyed the programme about wallpaper; missed the sketch show cause the S.O. was watching Country File. Have just finished watching the programe about Nic Jones [I was part way through yesterday when the phone rang so I watched the end today and have been listening to his music on utube]. I can't understand why I'd never heard of him as I've always loved folk music, but I guess I was just into Fairport and Steeleye Span in my youth. If you watch the programme, Blair Dunlop is a [sort of] local lad; a friend of mine is his manager. I can't say I'm bowled over by Nic Jones music, but then I don't rave about Nick Drake's stuff either. Someone in the programme that I did like was Anais Mitchell; I've been listening to some of her music on utube and am very impressed. Now I'm retired [first day today and just feel as if I'm on holiday confused] I'll be spending a lot of time on utube!

I sanyone still keeping up with "The Wrong Mans" or am I the only one who still finds it enjoyable viewing? I love the expressions on their faces, and the awful things which are happening are just great. What is going to happen next?

Tegan Wed 23-Oct-13 15:47:14

I keep mising it [and it's on at the same time as The Art of Australia]. Think I'll ty to catch up with it on iplayer. I was enjoying it. I'm still loving 'The Ginge, The Geordie and the Geek'.

I still love it PRINTMISS, think I've lost the plot a bit but it really makes me laugh our loud. smile

Its jolly good......I do appreciate a well written script and each part, no matter how small, is played with great relish by all those involved. Looks like it was a real labour of love for all concerned.
