Is anyone watching this magnficent progamme? The camera work is so advanced, it looks like this series is going to be the best yet. I love David Attenborough's work.

Amazing work by all the team on this series , can't wait for next week. The shots of the Giraffe were spectacular.

Indeed they were! And the wasp, and, and...
I realised I have been feeling more kindly towards DA since they have stopped doing those programmes where they dashed around the planet in a manic and superficial way. Antarctic in winter one minute, Scotland in summer next, with some tenuous thread linking them.
So relieved that they have now gone through this irritating phase. Surely he is mainly just fronting the show these days though isn't he?

Some of it looks like computer graphics! what a top class programme.

Loved every minute! Those desert landscapes are amazing. Isn't it wonderful that we can see these places to thick we will probably never go?

What a fantastic programme it was,and the narrating of "Its a Wonderful World" was super.
How I felt for the giraffe's and the injuries they had bestowed on each other but it's nature and nothing to be done about it sadly.
Looking forward to next weeks programme.

Gosh yes I was going "ow!!"
Felt really sad about the lovely rhinos though.

Proof if we needed one that David Attenborough should never be retired smile

The 2 giraffe's fighting was absolutely amazing!

Loved it.

And there were no slow motion over played lengthy clips of cute animals being killed by fierce ones.

Just slow motion clips of giraffes trying to kill each other! I loved the programme.

I was sceptical before I watched this. I thought we'd seen everything about nature that could be seen in all the nature programmes of the past 50 years, but how wrong could I be? I never knew that giraffes fought like that or that rhinos gathered together at night, nor that they could be so flirtatious though I suppose that's how baby rhinos come to pass!

NfkDumpling Fri 04-Jan-13 19:28:14

But the giraffes fighting had a happy ending. The old boy kept his girl and the young upstart recovered. Not like the gnu crossing the croc invested river!
