Well - what did people think of the last episode?

As soon as Sarah implied that she was willing to shack up with her admirer we knew that he/the relationship was doomed! And even her son seemed to be coming round - surely not a happy ending on the way?!

I could not fathom why she decided to kill the chap who murdered the girl. She had various avenues to pursue to legitimately bring him to justice (the altered hotel booking, the watch etc.) but she chose to commit murder instead and mess up the rest of her life! Illogical!

I was impressed by the way that they implied that both the PM and Zeugen had given into corruption and cover-ups at the end. That rang true I felt.

What do others think?

Trying not to read the above as had a power cut last night half an hour after it started. Power came back on just as it finished; I was SO upset. Will have to watch it tomorrow and Tuesday. Haven't enjoyed this series as much as the first one..seemed to be a lot of 'here we go again' plots, but still based my evening round watching it. Will come back to this after Tuesday wink...

I thought it was utterly, gobsmackingly amazing. I just hadn't expected that. The Guardian blog said that they were intending to kill her off until half way through the filming, but that ending was much more of a surprise. I thought it was sort of logical for her to kill hin as he probably wasn't going to be brought to justice or maybe it was because she didn't want a life of domestic bliss, new partner, joining a Danish grandparent's forum etc....
It seemed a bit unlikely that she would get away on his special branch pass and also not sure how taking out the sim card helped when she presumably wasn't going to bump off the pilot, but still.
I have thought some of this series was a bit similar to the first one and here were too many flashlights in creeply places, black cars belonging to party workers etc, but the ending was just terrific. Fantastic acting too.
Roll on Borgen in January.

I loved the whole thing, but was completely taken aback by the ending. When it was over DH and I just sat in a daze, the whole series had us on the edge of our seats. I totally believed in the cover ups and the fact that Sarah Lund was enraged and saddened enough to take matters into her own hands. Fabulous stuff,I won't know what to do on Saturday nights between now and middle of January when Borgen returns.

Completely astonished by the ending. Of course, as Mishap says, once she'd found a lover and was reconciled with her son and became a granny, it couldn't be allowed to end happily. Not sure whether the ending is intended as offering the start of Killing 4 or whether it's the Reichenbach Falls!

Only just watched the final two episodes tonight and was dreading reading any reviews or hearing comments but luckily we had NO idea how it would end though thought Sara would be killed.
Very clever and so surprising but frustrating nevertheless.
Also just seen Borgen is returning.
Can’t get enough of these foreign exciting programmes, and now Homeland also about to finish.....
