Just wonder if anyone else enjoyed this as much as I did? I thought it looked very 'of its time' and there was something about it I can't quite put my finger on but can't wait to see the next episode.

Just watched on ITV Player thought it was really good.

You could hide a multitude of sins under those headscarves. We'd be a terrorist risk these days.

I thought it was a great change and very good TV can't wait for the next episode,I remember my mum wearing a hat every Sat/Sunday went we went to visit family but during the week she had the most amazing collection of headscarf's.Gracesmum I think the style of the "rolled fringe" gives the "Wilma" effect don't you ??

Tonight's episode - oo-er!! shock Hope this doesn't end in tears!!! Scary!

Just as good as the first episode only better IYSWIM... I to hope it doesn't end in tears , I'm hoping they make a complete series... didn't realise that poor girl was being beaten by her nasty husband I must of missed that last week. Some of the terminology goes over my head, and the men are annoyingly stupid.

sorry a couple of sp errors in there..

I don't think we saw any suggestion of wife-beating in last week's episode, tanith, you didn't miss anything. I really enjoyed this week's episode as well, although I do get annoyed by the trailers for next week - they give away too much!

I watched it on +1 after Good Cop. After endless sport on TV, they are throwing so much good drama at us all at once I can't keep up.

Still have to watch last night's episode of Good Cop, and haven't seen any of the Bletchley Park yet. Hope I can get it on 'catch-up'! Wartime farm is fascinating - last night's episode with all the ladies wearing their turban headscarves reminded me of my mum and her friends, who always wore their scarves like that on washday, to keep their hair off their faces in the steam. Any other day my mother would wear her scarf tied under her chin to go out to the shops. smile

I don't know why ,with so many of us still around, they don't run some of these series past us before they broadcast. My Mum made all our clothes including tailored jackets and no way would she have let us wear anything as sloppily made as Ruth's red winter coat or the check jacket. We could teach them a thing or two about how to tie a headscarf so that it stayed tidy and ,if you look at old footage from this era , not everyone wore headscarves all the time. They can't mention everything but we children used to get paid so much a pound for acorns to feed the pigs in the pig club. Incidently I find it hugely enjoyable!

Just remembered that this thread was originally about the Bletchley Park girls. Cracking good programme, do hope they find the girls another problem soon.

I do hope they bring this back it was as Hunt says a 'cracking' good programme...
