I've just watched this new thriller on BBC.
Is it just me? I couldn't understand/hear what they were all saying half the time.
I'm used to American programs being mumbled but not British ones. confused

Can't decide if it was good or not. hmm

I have this problem too. Have you tried turning the subtitles on?

Thank goodness it wasn't just us, Ella46 DH and I kept asking eachother, 'What's he/she just said?'

I too began watching it but turned over for a couple of reasons - difficult to understand or see clearly what was happening. - and the main reason if I am truthful - too close to home first OH became an alcoholic and although more than 20 years ago I still cannot bear seeing people drinking so much and I cannot bear the smell of whiskey.

Toughed it out but only because I admire Dervla Kirwan (Sp? too idle to check the R.T.!) Not sure whether that was an hour wasted hmm

Well, at least we know it wasn't us! grin

Bez I can understand how you feel for similar reasons, I don't like being with people who have more than one or two drinks.
In fact, my male friend has instructions from me never to phone or text if he has had a drink!

Not that I'm a bossy cow or anything wink grin

Ella46 It was to dark not able to hear anything and on the whole a total waste of time, which surprised me as Dervla Kirwan and Christopher Eccleston are such good actors and most things they are in can be gaurenteed to be good viewing, maybe it will get better hmm

glamma absolutely! I really disliked the Christopher Eccleston character, but then, I suppose, that is good acting. We are not meant to like him!

I don't think Tech likes this thread, twice I've found it in the bin! grin

Yes, there are some which seem to be sent off more than others!

Part 2 of Line of Duty is on tonight which I found more gripping than Blackout. As least you can see what's going on.

Ella46 Tue 03-Jul-12 19:05:07

Yes, it was pretty good.
