I have just watched this programme, having recorded it.

I found it very moving - did anyone else see it?

It set me wondering (as I watched the grandson of a mass murderer talking to teenagers) how ordinary Germans of all ages deal with this terrible history, and the crimes perpetrated by their relatives. What a terrible burden to bear - even though logic dictates that they personally were not at fault. They must surely sometimes feel afraid - what is wrong with us, how could we have done these things? It was very chilling.

I saw it a little while ago and also found it moving. The guilt was visible in their faces and one 'child' - and her brother decided to be sterilised if I remember correctly so that the line wouldn't continue. Dreadfully sad and not a subject related to the war that I've considered before.
