Did anyone watch tonight`s show? Agreed, there was the usual amount of rubbish, but three acts stood out for me. Sam, the young lad with the guitar who sang an Adele song, he had a lovely, plaintive voice, then the Welsh boys choir, Only Boys Aloud, they moved me almost to tears. Finally, the 17 year old boy on last, what a magnificent voice! The girl singing wiith him may have been good, but she was almost drowned out, his voice is so powerful. He should go far. I think that the Queen would love the boys choir.

Yes, the same three for me numberplease. I really enjoyed the show. Jonathan Antoine was amazing - only 17 years old and a future Pavorotti, if he continues like that.

And what about the German gent in gold foil who said he was an eagle? Where do these folk get their ideas from?

That's why I enjoy it - all those quirky people are so interesting.

I loved the same three acts too. I was worried that David Walliams would bring too much silliness, but thought he was great. I was ashamed of the audience for booing the German when he stated his nationality - very bad form! The act was weird but I was pleased he had a good reception.

I had that 'Susan Boyle' moment when the boys' choir sang and when that wonderful 'young Pavarotti' opened his mouth and showed his talent. I think that Simon Cowell had the same feeling.

Absolutely agree with all of the above. The Welsh lads had that 'hiraeth' feeling going again! But what a horrid crowd to boo the German, and I thought (see another thread) we were less racist than most.hmm

There is not going to another Pavarotti! His voice was perfect and he was an Italian tenor and he always sang with that emotional extra in his voices. It comes from hearing and speaking Italian since birth.

We may agree that there will not be another Pavarotti but that young man had a lot of talent and being compared to Pavarotti is a compliment, did Pavarotti sing as well as that at 17 yrs old I wonder?
