I'm anticipating howls of protest but I love, love, love, Strictly Come Dancing.
So this thread is for all things Strictly. Can't wait!!!!

Well said nanachrissy I love Strictly because I love some people and love to hate some people smile

nanachrissy Tue 08-Nov-11 10:22:25

Come on Grandmaagain, half the fun of watching SCD ( and I love it too) is having a good old bitch about it afterwards! grin

silverfoxygran Mon 07-Nov-11 23:16:58

Reading this has really cheered me up - I thought I was just being a bit bitchy by longing for Lulu to be voted off. I think she really showed-off during her last dance and I can't help thinking Brenden was glad to see the back of her.

It makes me sick how women like her claim that a good skin-care routine prevents her from looking her age ... well it's not working on me! Now don't go thinking I'm in the least bit jealous will you?envy

Jacey Mon 07-Nov-11 22:38:14

Well ...Artem could butter my toast any day of the week blush

grandmaagain Mon 07-Nov-11 20:37:02

me too grin

And I LOVE it!

I'm beginning to think I am on the wrong thread! I thought this was for us sad souls who enjoy Strictly Come Dancing! there seem to be an awlful lot of unhappy people who are'nt enjoying it at all and I'm wondering why they still watch, nobody HAS to. Come on everyone lighten up! this is fun, frothy fluffy ,sparkly, silly saturday night entertainment it does'nt mean a thing it is just for fun! smile

HildaW Mon 07-Nov-11 11:50:22

Dear Strictly, Never ever let darling Len have a week off. What was that silly woman on? Her scoring was all over the place.

nanachrissy Mon 07-Nov-11 10:50:22

So glad Lulu went, she was getting too big for her boots as usual, and Brendan didn't say anything nice about her either!
What is Tess going to wear next? She is beginning to look increasingly desperate. Too skinny, skirts too short and hair too blonde. She used to be much more classy.
The BBC is losing the plot! confused

susiecb Mon 07-Nov-11 08:26:50

Bye bye Lulu I dont think she put her back into this she didnt improve at all and her partners face was a picture. The male professional dance was a travesty of timing they coudlnt keep together at all, the girls were much better but it did look like a pole-less pole dance.
Well done Anita - she's my favourite not that I could ever be bothered to votesmile

grandmaagain Sun 06-Nov-11 23:46:26

Thought Anita was super on saturday really got into the spirit of the dance and Russell was a complete joy as usual. I think it was the right result tonight, Lulu has'nt really improved very much and all the others have.Jennifer Grey would'nt do for the whole series but she was lovely and I enjoyed her,it will be good to have Len back next week. Absolutely LOVED the male professionals dance tonight it was spectacular so full of energy. Lets all wish Artem a swift recovery from his injury, he looked in real pain poor thing.sad

Jacey Sun 06-Nov-11 23:08:14

Thought that Jen woman was rubbish ...8x 8s, 1x9 and 1x7 didn't they give her any other paddles??

Then Lulu ...what was she on last night ...chatting to Jen, then not even dancing with Brendan in their 'final' dance confused ...though he didn't look too upset by the decision hmm

See Brucie was singing shock ... but then he does have a new CD out hmm

glammanana Sun 06-Nov-11 23:01:40

Lulu gone tonight she didn't seem on form at all tonight,Anita should up her game she is good I think but Chelsee could win this, was not exicited about anyone really tonight though all seemed a bit flat confused

Grannylin Sun 06-Nov-11 22:58:10

I think Lulu had to go, her neck is far too smooth for her age!

gracesmum Sun 06-Nov-11 22:28:32

So I was wrong. But Lulu was rubbish - someone who has been in music all her adult life should be able to do better. Phew Audley - live to fight dance another day!!

numberplease Sun 06-Nov-11 21:27:49

Audley may not be good at Latin dances, but he certainly didn`t deserve to be in the last 2 this week. Out of the 2 of them, I`m glad that Lulu went, although, technically speaking, Russell IS probably the poorest................but he`s SO entertaining!

Jacey Sun 06-Nov-11 19:14:58

No ...that's ten !

Perhaps someone could organise a virtual sweep-stake on the results? hmm

gracesmum Sun 06-Nov-11 15:38:36

In order of departure:
Audley
Lulu
Robbie
Anita
Russell (aaaaw)
Welsh girl
Jason/Harry/Chelsee/Holly in the final
???

have I misssed anybody?

numberplease Sat 05-Nov-11 23:29:36

My husband is convinced that Harry will win, so, unfortunately, that`s probably put the kibosh on his chances, as none of his predictions ever come true. I wasn`t too keen on Lulu`s performance tonight, but I suppose that the worst performance, dance wise, was Russell, but I`d prefer him to outlast Lulu. I loved Anita`s Charleston, but still think that Chris Hollins and Ola Jordan`s will take some beating, even 2 years on.

nanachrissy Sat 05-Nov-11 20:56:40

I think Lulu was a pain tonight. So full of herself, too cocky for me. I'm beginning to hope that Alex gets through to the end along with Harry.

Jacey Sat 05-Nov-11 20:43:55

yes gracesmum

Think the wheat and chaff are beginning to separate grin ...but there are several vunerable couples tonight.

Wasn't Artem a trooper!! Think he, Robin and Pasha are really good choreographers smile

gracesmum Sat 05-Nov-11 20:10:53

At least Chelsee kept all her body parts in and Robbie retained a vestige of dignity. I normally can't stand Anita , but really liked her tonight. Anybody share my opinion?

jingle Sat 05-Nov-11 19:56:58

Did you see my Hero?! Haaaa...... lovely man! grin grin grin grin

jogginggirl Sat 05-Nov-11 19:19:12

I'm absolutely loving Strictly tonight .....gringrin

Here here, I agree about Zoe, also she has experience appearing on SDC. I feel she is far more sincere than Claudia was. Her questioning seems more intelligent than Claudia.
I also dislike Bruce, have done from the first series. Strangely though, this series, I seem to have got used to him, hate the dreadful jokes, but don't waste my energies shouting at the screen.
Unfortunately like a lot of programmes, I am slightly getting tired of it all, still watch and enjoy, but for the first time, have no favourite, and am really not bothered who wins. I am also tired of Takes Two, and frequently don't bother to watch anymore.
