Does anyone know what the TF stands for on the policeman's shoulder of his uniform? Is it an Irish 'Gaelic' abbreviation? It's been bugging DH for ages, and my answer of 'The Fuzz' didn't help...! confused

I saw the interview last week on Good Morning and he came across as a
nice family man,he is married with 2 DCs and was very embarrassed as to the
sex symbol reference

She looks 'calculating' doesn't she, his mum? I don't mean to do the actress an injustice, of course! hmm

What impresses me about this series, well impress is the wrong word, for such a lovely lovely man, he does have such a cold hearted stern Mother. Perhaps that is why he always looking for lurve. I wonder what he is like in 'real life'? he might be a right swine.

Yes she did look as though she had a dirty face maybe the make up had been put
on badly,in the interview with him in one of the magazines I think it said he had operation on his lip when he was a baby, just adds a bit more character I think,
if he has trouble finding the perfect woman I'm sure there are plenty of offers
available ? Get in an orderly line behind me please

greenmossgiel Fri 12-Aug-11 20:58:51

I thought she looked as if she had a dirty face! Lovely wee scar he had on his upper lip, eh? Aaaah! It finishes next week....sad

Hattie64 Fri 12-Aug-11 19:58:42

I have never looked at his shoulder, I mainly gaze at his face, especially that little scar above his lips!!! I didn't think much of his choice of woman to bed, she had a sort of 'mucky' look about her with or without her camera. He is obviously the sort of man who can't seem to find the perfect woman, well he seems to find them, but then they leave for pastures new. Well I can understand that, lovely scenery but not much else to do, except do unlawful things, like pimping, murder, arson etc. Thank goodness I live in the town. Anyway he is definately fanciable.

No but I remember Dixon of Dock Green ha-ha, he was my mum's favourite

I have it on good authority from my Irish policemen`s daughter friend, that TF is simply his regimental number, as there`s also a number after it. Something, I suppose, like our own PC49, anybody remember him, played by Brian Reece?

glammanana Fri 12-Aug-11 15:15:23

He was in bed TWICE!!!! what are we going to do after next week when the series finishes, who can we lust after then ? not much on the box at the moment,I know I'll watch the re-runs until the next series starts

greenmossgiel Fri 12-Aug-11 10:38:22

And he was in bed, too!wink Still don't know about TF though....hmm

ElseG Wed 10-Aug-11 07:12:57

It could just be the division letters by which his area is known. I agree he is rather cute blush

numberplease Tue 09-Aug-11 23:01:29

Don`t suppose it could stand for something as simple as Task Force, could it? Just a thought.

numberplease Tue 09-Aug-11 22:43:35

Greenmossgiel, I`ve asked on another forum about TF, someone on there is the daughter of a retired policeman in Dublin, so hoping she can tell me, but it might be tomorrow before I hear, hope you can contain yourself till then?

greenmossgiel Tue 09-Aug-11 22:32:08

That used to be the exact one that I used, until I left it to go its own way! It's almost the same colour as the dye now, so that's ok!! grin
