Where to go in Malta?

I'm so glad you've asked this LyndaW as I shall be eagerly looking at the answers too. It was a toss up as to whether I booked a short trip to Malta or Cyprus for a March holiday and this time Cyprus won, but Malta is on my bucket list. I shall be travelling alone and getting about by bus.

We're thinking about going to Malta later in the year. We've never been before so I'm hoping some well-travelled gransnetters will be able to give me some tips and ideas on where to stay, what to do, areas to miss etc? thanks in advance!
