Confused of Southend.

I hope I'm making myself clear. There's an App I have to download to get Podcasts.
When I went to get it, it said that I have to have iOS 8.1 to support this App.
I went to my settings and it said, download 9.3.1.
When I went to do this a keypad dropped down asking for my pass No.
I don't ever remember giving a No. I put in 2 Nos that I normally use. They didn't work so I didn't try anymore.
Or, do they mean the number that I open my ipad with.
I sent an email to Apple last night but no response yet.
If this isn't making sense, ignore me and I'll have to slap to Lakeside and talk to the bowfins there.

This will be the same pass code that you use to unlock your ipad. If you have not set one, you should be able to ignore it when upgrading. Otherwise you will need to restore your ipad via iTunes, but you will probably lose your data.
