Nice dress, shame about the weather.

If you don't know who it is, look it up. (Royals)

If I were the Princess Royal I’d have told my son to turn up his own trousers!

My idea of a nightmare, only do the white dress once.

It is Peter Phillips ( Princess Anne son)and his new Wife Harriet Sperling.

David Armstrong Jones' partner, today.

So elegant!

She looked absolutely beautiful ixion, very chic.

Oh yes. Very classy.

I was a bit surprised to see the veil and white dress.

To me, just not necessary for a second marriage.

But heigh ho, none of my business.

Hope they have a happy life.

I liked the colour of Catherine’s dress.

Casdon

I just hope they had the wedding they wanted, no more or less than that. Every couple deserves that.

Quite agree Casdon it's their day to enjoy as they wish. Good luck to them.

No evidence of decluttering for Princess Anne today.

45 year anniversary of the yellow hat!

Aveline Sat 06-Jun-26 20:52:00

I hope Allira saw it. Lovely photos.

I bloody love Anne ❤️

😆

Forgive me, but the other Granny looks like she has a teatowel on her head.

If that’s Peter’s christening, she probably wore the same hat for sentimental reasons.

But maybe it’s Zara’s?

ixion Sat 06-Jun-26 21:49:39

Blue for Peter's christening.

Think the two York Princesses were there too.

I bloody love Anne ❤️

Me too.
So much her own person, not bowing to convention except when public duty demands it. Glad she wears the same clothes, obviously comfortable in them.
And always hard worker.

I read that Anne’s dress was from 1986.

Good on her, and impressive that she can wear outfits from 40 years ago.

I’ve been browsing the guests’ outfits on different sites this morning.

You realise that, royal or not, some still make a few errors in what they wear. Like the rest of us.

“But it looked so much better when I tried it on in the shop!”

I like a bride,we photographed over 4000 weddings so just as well I do.
I thought this dress was lovely and a nice change from meringues with breasts on display.
I do think the veil was OTT though,a piece of hair jewellery would have been enough .
When I started in photography a lot of brides wore a suit “ a costume” dress and jacket affair and it was young brides who wore long white dresses….except for pregnant brides who went down the pastel coloured suit road.
Didn,t make them less a bride or have less of a marriage .I wish them well ,3 teenage girls in one home is my idea of a nightmare .

I think the bride looks wonderful, elegant and I like her veil, I believe that Allira had a similar one for her wedding.😃

Oreo Sun 07-Jun-26 09:53:06

And yes, I would have shortened the groom’s trousers by three or four inches too.

Calendargirl Sun 07-Jun-26 09:55:24

I tend to agree with you paddyann.

Nothing to do with virgin brides or being pregnant etc, but for a second marriage for both partners, (think I’m right in saying that both bride and groom have been married before), and being in their forties, (not old, I know!), a lovely but very special ‘suit’ or ‘costume’ would have been extremely appropriate and very edgy, if that’s the right word.

My personal opinion, of course.

It all looked like a photoshoot for a celebrity magazine… oh, wait…

A tasteless dressing-up stunt IMO as it’s a second marriage for both bride and groom.

Fallingstar Sun 07-Jun-26 10:16:50

I agree with another poster upthread, not taking away from this bride but I think Camilla struck the right note with her wedding outfit when marrying Charles.

Maremia Sun 07-Jun-26 10:27:09

Camilla had two outfits on her special day.
I preferred the long version, although the headdress was slightly off.
