Perhaps blonde balayage. My hair is silver, blonde foils are added.

Thanks guys, will try some of the colour effects mentioned.
Not quite ready yet to embrace the grey, sorry.

When I started to go grey, about 10 years ago, blonde highlights worked for me, then during lockdown when I could not keep them up I used Nice and Easy but it started to look orange in places, so I let nature take its course. Now it's a lovely silver, complete contrast to my natural brown/red shade. I love it, had to change my clothes colours as I can look washed out but would never dye it again. My friend dye their hair and it's done every four weeks but regrowth looks aging. The cut and condition is paramount. I have a chin length Bob now, I do let it grow some times to my shoulders but find when it does I am constantly putting it up anyway. This length I can do a small scrunched style or French pleat.

Just embrace it.

I met up with four ex work colleagues the other day, we get together about twice a year.

All but one of us has embraced the grey, we vary from pure white to shades of grey.

Only one, a redhead, still colours her hair.

To be honest, it looks dry and ‘faded’.

If she let nature take its course, I think she might be pleasantly surprised.

Personally, I love my silvery white hair.

Welcome aboard, Bumble!
I was also a reddish ginger but, over a decade or so faded to a sort of pale honey-blonde which, in all honesty, I rather liked.
But around a year ago, I realised the blonde was getting paler and a bit dingey-grey. This was very depressing as my grandmother, who had the same colouring as me, went a very glamorous silvery white in her sixties.

Then someone told me about Superdrug's Colour Effects shampoo-in conditioner. I use the Strawberry Blonde about once every 10 days and I'm delighted with the result. The depth and intensity of the colour depends on how often you use it and how long you leave it on your hair. And, if you hate it, it'll fade in a couple of weeks.
Highly recommended!

As a redhead you should naturally turn blonde, silver and possibly white - all for free.

Welcome, why not Just let your grey come in Bumble so many people are embracing their grey hair now. I know it’s not for everyone but I honestly never regretted ditching the dye and just let it happen. Now I have long silver hair it’s shiny and healthy and no dyeing every six weeks.

Superdrug own brand. I have been using it for decades and even my hairdresser said it worked so well on me that I really did not need a salon colour.

The art is always use a colour a shade or two lighter than your natural colour. Skin colour changes and this needs to be taken into account.
