Looking for a really good foundation

Has anyone tried Lanera foundation please?
I keep seeing it advertised online and it comes fromvthe US.
Reviews say it's light but conceals imperfections and gives excellent coverage.

After her mother went mad - she had to take her to the local hospital to make that no damage was done when the nail polish was removed .

Ouch !

Another one for Estée Lauder Double Wear, but even that doesn't hide my eye bags now. I don't think I will ever give up my war paint if I live to a hundred.

A similar reflection at the busstop made my mother bin one of her dresses .

Going out one evening , I looked at one of my friends .
She seemed to have an odd frozen expression and looked uncomfortable .
She'd painted her eyelids with her big sister's silver nail polish .

oh my god lol - I wonder how she got the nail varnish OFF!

Damaskrose thank you for reinforcing this. One of the posts on the earlier thread was something along the lines that, sadly, people don’t really care about animal cruelty, and I’m afraid that seems to be true.

I know. I find it very sad.

I'm mainly housebound and also live very rural Philippalll, or I would do that. I used to like wandering around perfume & makeup departments

I would suggest going into a shop and get someone to choose the right textured foundation and colour for you... our complexion changes with age. Let them put some on you and then go home before you buy it. See how you like it. I have used Shiseido in the past but now find it far too heavy.It now makes me look older than I do without it!! So I'm currently using Clinique which covers small blemishes and give a nice look but doesn't look made up. A little goes a very long way. It's a lighter texture that still gives good coverage. Good luck.

I remember a phase of thick black eyeliner with brilliant white eyeshadow above it. My dad said I looked like a panda ) And then there was the white lipstick......

I also used Panstick in the days when I wore false eyelashes painted on lashes as well !

I do remember my Grandma waiting until she thought that I was out of the house and heard her laughing .
I think that she called me a circus clown .
That's was it - I toned it down .

New foundations are so much lighter and more flattering .

I also rate Charlotte Tillbury ,Clinique and Mac !

If you are housebound - your main difficulty is choosing the right colour .
Rather than make an expensive mistake I'd go for Avon .
If you really hate heavy make up - Lisa Armstrong is definitely the lightest one , that I've tried .

I've got an Avon lady! She lives two doors down - I just never bought make up off her before, stuck to shower and hair and handwash etc. Maybe that would be the way to go at first to get the shade and cover etc right. Then I quite fancy trying MAC, it's not one that I know at all but looks good on the website.

I use this too. I have been asked what I use many times.

I can't get to a shop, am housebound and stuck in the house, plus are very rural here, so order everything online.

Clinique every time.

I would say go to MAC and get somebody to help you. They do a lot of products with different coverage and a wonderful range of colours to match your skin. They'll try a couple on your skin for you (make sure they put a primer on first) so you can have a good look at the result in artificial and day light.

After using Clarins for years now using Mac. Love it

I use clarins, I think to get it right you need to have the make-up consultant in a department store help you. I always spend on foundation but buy cheaper brands for other make-up products.

Likerubysong I go for mineral powder. It seems to morph into the skin.

I use Charlotte tilbury...not cheap tho....my DD always comes shopping when I need make up

No 7 intelligent foundation brilliant.

Estée Lauder double wear. Keep coming back to it !
